My brother has been hospitalized. To make a long, convoluted story short, his ankle was swollen for about a week, he ignored it like an assshole hoping it would just fix itself. It started to hurt him very badly yesterday so he went to the ER. Now he has been told that he has either a blood clot or a tumor somewhere. His cell phone battery died in the middle of him telling my mom the details so now we are all just stuck in limbo waiting for answers. I am heading down to the Bx in a bit. I hope it turns out to be nothing so I can curse at him for not getting it looked at sooner. I hate when someone is so messed up that you have to pretend that they didn't do it to themselves.

Thanks, guys. He was sent home after circulation tests, cat scans, and all kinds of other sh!t. No tumors, clots, or blockages found. They have determined that he has gout. He'll need to see his primary care physician for more tests. The tricky part is that this gout sh!t can be triggered by all different kinds of diseases/conditions. Hopefully, he has primary gout that is not the result of some other medical issue. My mom is very worried that he has some form of kidney disease like I do, but the odds of that are incredibly slim, as mine is an autoimmune system problem.

AND in case you were wondering, I did yell at him a lot. Because that's what big sisters do. And because I have my period.

I'm glad he got sprung from the hospital and hope the follow-up tests come out as well as possible. He totally deserved to get yelled at. Because you have your period. LOL.
