It is raining right now. Nothing bad, just a steady rain. I woke up to feed D and then I was going to let the dogs out... it started before I finished feeding him... wet dogs... joy!

I talked with my bro in NYC last night and he said he was helping his landlord board up the windows.
I hope all of you are safe and just get a little wet! This is a good excuse to stay in and spend some quality time in the dark together!
We are just waiting on the rain....

It's only raining now...but I am def nervous about whats to come. We've never been through something like this before.
Here too. Pretty heavy rains for the last few hours. Our worst time will be 8am-8pm tomorrow they say.

We're between exit 17 and 18 on the thruway, and it rained a little earlier, but isn't now. Drive safe!!!

I was wondering this earlier. I know they were in danger of bad flooding... I haven't heard or seen anything from her. Hope she checks in soon....
We're good! We're too far inland to have to evacuate. Our flood danger is from the Raritan river, not the ocean so they let people do their own thing.
My Facebook feed is all people saying they've lost power... I can only imagine we're not too far behind.

We are in the "calm before the storm now," the rain has totally stopped and the crickets are chirping. Therefore, we came home. I'm trying to get everything posted for my online class for next week in anticipation of being without power/Internet.
Driving through NY and Western Mass was horrible and I know that was just the tip of what is coming. We are in a tropical storm warning, but about half a mile from a hurricane warning -- so we'll see.
My SIL/BIL niece and nephew are still in Canada, but I'm sure they are in the evacuated area of NJ since they are almost on the water.

Raining really hard where I am now. Where my mom lives in South Jersey there are tornado warnings and they had one touch down. Scary stuff!
They just said on the news that the worst here will be between midnight and 6am, so we shall see what happens. We are most afraid of the power outages and the flooding afterwards.
