P.S. can you use regular coffee grinds in a french press?? I got one but have never used it.
My confession is that I'm dying for a smoke right now. I have a cigarette every once and again when the kid isn't around and tonight (after a long annoying day) seems right. Can't do it because 1) it's raining so I can't go out and 2) MH will get annoyed with me. He knows I do it, especially if I'm with certain friends but he doesn't like it one bit.
I don't know if it's the same for all presses but I have a Bodum and you have to use course or the grounds are too fine and get through the screen. Maybe you can use a filter too?
I was just concerned cause I'm gonna be fiending for coffee if power is out in the morning! I think I only have decaf instant. FAIL
I tried to figure that out too. But how would you even get the water hot enough to make coffee? I'm thinking of making some soon, then putting it in a thermos until morning. It's that serious.

my stove is gas so I could just boil some water on on the stove? I read on another board that you could pour boiling water through the basket with the grinds in a regular coffee machine and that should do the trick. Don't doubt me that I won't try if we have no power.
P.S. - before I drunkingly proofread this I wrote my gas is stove. I should have left it

Not many people do. It's all my Drummer man's fault (aka bestest pal from Tulsa). HE likes Jager and got me doing shots...then Hubby started doing shots...now besides grey goose vodka...it's all Hubby drinks. LOL
