Yep, it's a fully online bank.

You have to treat this as long term savings though. I have a small amount in our savings that I can get to in a true emergency, but most of our e fund sits here. It takes about 2 days for the funds to come out of ING and into your regular bank account.

Just adding in another vote for ING.  I use BECU for all my day-to-day banking needs, but I have an account at ING specifically for longer term saving.  Not that there is a lot in there right now, but every paycheck I have a little more automatically deposited.

This thread is timed very well, I sort of had a financial meltdown this past weekend and a friend had to talk me down, get me back to a non-freaked out point so I could think rationally about my money.  :)  sometimes it's hard being a single home-owner with roof leaks and car repairs and medical bills and grad school expenses and trying to build savings accounts and retirement funds and...   ugh.  But I am re-focused and know what my short term money plan is.

Great job Mr&Mrs. Sounds like you're headed in the right direction!

It took a while to get there for sure.
