What did you do for your Honey Moon?
DH and I never had a honeymoon....
And we've recently tossed around the idea of going on an official honeymoon for our 5 year anniversary.
Problem is, we don't even know where we want to go or what we want to do.
Any suggestions?

Re: What did you do for your Honey Moon?
We were going to do a 7 day Mexican cruise. Unfortunately I ended up in the emergency room and having a minor procedure done...We ended up spending two days in Seattle as a small replacement trip, but it wasn't the same. We're talking about the possibility of trying to do a different cruise next year (or maybe our 5 year anniversary), but we'll see.
Haha, oops! I thought I responding to an NBC thread! Oh well, Hi!

We went to Disneyland/Anaheim for a few days and made fun of the couples wearing the matching Micky and Minnie bride and groom hats. I know that's not everyone's cup of tea though.
Someone I know recently went to Niagara Falls for their wedding anniversary and really enjoyed it. They seemed to think that the Canadian side was much nicer than the American side.

Exactly us with the nothing part, minus the moving lol.
I don't even know why we didn't have a honeymoon....
We were supposed to go to Rome for 5 days and Paris for 10. We got to Rome and things were great, until it was time to leave. Then that volcano in Iceland erupted and grounded all European air traffic and we spent the whole two weeks in Rome.
It was actually great because we'd both been to Paris separately but neither of us had been to Rome and we got to really explore a lot of places in-depth.
We spent a week at Disney World. It was a lot of fun, but we're both big kids at heart.
Sometimes I do wish we'd gone for a more traditional, tropical vacation, but maybe we'll do that for an anniversary, and enjoy the break from life (i.e. kiddo) all the more!!
Ditto. We had the best time in Vegas. It wasn't like a college spring break trip either. Obviously gambling was fun as well as the free drinks that go along with it. We saw shows most nights and just ventured up and down the strip to check out all of the hotels (Eiffel tower, gondola rides, Shark Reef aquarium, Bodies exhibit, titanic exhibit, etc). DH deployed 2.5 months after we got married and we're doing a second honeymoon in Vegas when he gets home.
Photo bomb, yeah!
We went on our HM just after our 3rd anniversary. We took a road trip. We drove to Jupiter, FL and spent the night. We got up the next morning and drove to South Beach Miami for a walk on the beach and lunch. Then we drove to Key West. We had a blast. We spent 5 days down there at a little inn. We rented a scooter and zipped all around the island. Then we drove back. It was an amazing trip. I would highly recomend it.
We did the same thing!!! Loved it!!! The resort we stayed was AMAZING. It was way more then I could/would have hoped for. Where did you all go???
I would second the all-inclusive route. That way you know what you are spending before arriving. I have done the cruise thing and I am always shocked at the end of the trip to settle up the bill. Also, with an all-inclusive you can spend more time in one area and can get to see more of the local flavor. We typically go once a year to a resort.
We just took our Minimoon a couple weeks ago... We spent 4 days in Niagara Falls then visited our family back home for a coupe days.
We planned to take a 7-night Mediterranean Cruise when we can schedule it
Costa Rica is our next trip after.
Our dream trip is a bit too expensive right now, seeing as he's just getting out of law school and hasn't had an income for 3 years and I lost my job for a bit this year so still playing catch up. We plan to do a small honeymoon right after the wedding, and then a bigger one for our 1-year right after he finishes TBS.
Our dream trip is to Asia - we want to do Thailand and Vietnam for two to three weeks. If I could ever afford it, I'd want to go to the Four Seasons luxury tent camp for a few days, but that's just way out of any reasonable budget.
We plan to go to the Pacific Northwest for our honeymoon. We're debating between San Francisco/Napa and Seattle/Portland/Washington State. Either way, it will involve cute B&Bs, a convertible car, amazing food, and lots of vineyards and/or breweries!
Let's see...I think it was the Grand Palladium (Riviera Maya). We also went to the Valentin Imperial Maya this year with my family.
Another thing, OP, if y'all ever do the all-inclusive thing, try to go to an adults-only one. It's so much more peaceful. Our honeymoon resort had two or three different "levels" of hotels, and ours was the adults-only one. We were able to venture over to the other ones from time to time, and it was so much louder/more chaotic than ours. My parents have said the same thing about 18+ resorts vs. resorts that allow kids.
