H left for some pretty universally hated training 5 days after the wedding, and we were planning on a couple days in Vegas during his leave, but my Mom bought us tickets to the Giants Cardinals game in Phoenix, so I think that's our mini-moon, be jealous, lol. We're planning on Costa Rica after his deployment.

I lived in Phoenix for 9 years and Scottsdale is actually a wonderful place for a romantic trip!

We went to Costa Rica for our honeymoon and loved every second of it! We went to Jaco for 4 days and Manual Antonio for 5- we are adventure loving people, so we went zip lining, white water rafting, hiking, it was the best trip EVER!

It would be romantic, but A) we're going with my parents and B) There be nothing romantic about me yelling myself hoarse at whatever crazy scheme Tom Coughlin's cooked up. ;) I wish we could go to Sedona or something for a couple days prior, but nope. I can't wait for Costa Rica though! I hope it works out.

I've seen a lot of military surprise homecomings. It wouldn't work on me. I always have my back to the corner and my face to the door. Looking for terrorists, criminals, various other threats, and husbands.
  • We stayed in a remote area of Belize - think tiny prop plane, jungle, dirt runway, Mayan ruins still being excavated, underground river spelunking to get to more ruins... It was awesome.

  • We took a 7 night cruise to Alaska and it was amazing!

  • We didn't have a honeymoon either. Sad

Married almost a year and 9 months, I am not concerned with it anymore. I have convinced DH that we are going to Europe in the spring for vacation. Big Smile

  • Nothing.  School was starting back up for me, and I couldn't take any time off.  We may just end up waiting for our 5 year anniversary to do something.
  • We too went on a cruise. 7 days to Mexico. It was flat out amazing. We had the best time. We kept to ourselves pretty much and played around on deck, went to all the shows, went on excursions at each port, parasailing, a scuba and horseback riding trip and another snorkel/beach adventure. I would recommend a cruise to anyone!
