Missoni line for Target. Love or hate?
Missoni has this new line for Target, and I despise it. I think I might have an UO here. It was on E! and a couple other shows, and just to give you an idea, this is some of the designs.

My friend works at Target and she hates it as much as I do, but she said the stuff is selling like hotcakes, and Target's site is down because of it. I wanted to know, what does MN think? Do you love the line or think its crap?
I will say, there is one dress from the line I like, and it doesn't have the zigzag pattern.
Re: Missoni line for Target. Love or hate?
I think lots of it is cute, but would look better if the pieces were broken up. The way they're presented = pattern overload.
The floppy hate = cute. Clutch = cute. Brown tank with zigzag bust = cute. Worn together with matching tights, scarf, hoodie, and shorts = not cute.
The colors and the overdone pattern is what I don't like. It reminds me of something I'd find buried in the back of my mom's closet from the 70's. It's trending on Twitter and sold out in 2 LA stores in 30 mins. I don't get it.
I wish I was a trendy famous designer so I could make ugly pieces and everyone would buy it and think I was awessoommee.
Also reminds me of my grandmother's afghans that she crocheted way long time ago.
I also agree with Ojo that some of the pieces by themselves would be cute. All of it together? Overkill.
Photo bomb, yeah!
I'm glad I'm not the only one who despises it.
I hear 70's porn music every time a commercial for this crap pops up.
I like the colors.
I was also that kid in junior high stealing clothes from my mom's bins of 70s clothes. She had this awesome sweater that had the scarf attached and the pockets on the front of it were shaped like mittens.
WAY too busy for me. The colors are kind of drab and the pattern is pretty horrid. I'm a solids kind of gal with the very occassional patterned piece. I prefer to let my accessories do the talking.
On that note: I STILL don't know who/what Missoni is. Nor do I really care.
Same here. Never heard of them before this. I feel like this line is one of those things that if it didn't have the Missoni name tag on it most people would think it was hideous. Most, not all.
Agreed.

I've never heard of Missoni until this line. There is one pair of flats that I think are decent, but nothing I'm going to rush out to buy. The rest is

Unpopular opinion here...I love it! Obviously not all of the pieces and definitely not all together like pictured (yuck). But some of the individual pieces are great. But I also have always lusted after a real Missoni knit sweater so Target was my only chance of ever experiencing it.
I also have an unhealthy love of anything with a chevron print.
I was there this morning and apparently not early enough because stuff was already sold out. I saw a lady with a shopping card piled high of like 5 of every style. She had to have spent thousands considering a sweater was $50.
I got an umbrella, cardigan and scarf. And yes, it's all very 70s
They were out of the sweater I wanted
Plenty of barf green trench coats left though!

It's NMS, but if you can pull it off, good for you.
I'm just shocked that I've seen all over TN that people lined up at 6am and took off to Target on their lunch breaks for this stuff. I know, different strokes and all that jazz, but I don't get why people do that for something from Target, even if it is designer. It's still Target.
