Missoni @ Target
I had no idea today was he launch day o Missoni at Target but recalled someone mentioning it coming up. I just hit up Target for some returns and asked about it. The lady said there was a line of people this morning waiting for the store to open, and that the website crashed earlier. I had to go see what all the fuss was about but the racks in all departments were pretty much wiped out at the one in the Woodlands.

There was a lot of stuff at the 2978/Magnolia Target this morning.
I didn't get what all the fuss was about. It is all the same thing: multi-colored zig-zig striped.

I am so ticked about the site crashing. I stayed up late last night and then it was down this morning. It is still down.

I didn't know what it was either until I was in Target at lunch and was really disappointed that there is so much buzz and it ended up being that. And it's everywhere...apparel, housewares, home office organization....I do not get it.
It's down still because there is rumor that Target is getting a shipment of the HP tablets. So not only are the Mossoni people hounding the site but so are the other thousands of $99 tablet seekers.
i just sneaked a few peeks on ebay.

I had no idea what it was either...not only would I NOT pay $125...I wouldn't pay $25 for that!!!...heck probably not even $10!
Now THAT I could go for!

I just got back from my Target and there was nothing left for women other than lingerie. There was still some kid/baby stuff left that was really cute (lighweight sweater tunics, leggings), but it would have been $50 for a baby outfit. No way.
There were pumps and rubber boots left too, quite a few of those, actually. I got a tote bag. I actually need a nicer tote bag for traveling and the price wasn't bad at all.
I never understood why people liked missoni stuff at all.. in any form...
its hideous. who would ever look good in that?

This is one "designer for Target" collection that I just don't get. To me, the whole concept is that you get to wear a version of a famous designer at an affordable price without it being blatantly obvious that you bought it at a discount store. The chevron pattern of this collection is so glaringly distinct that all I'm going to think when everybody and her sister starts sporting it is "Target", not "oooooh, Missoni."
Which, if you big pink puffy heart loooooove zig zaggy chevrons, then who cares who guesses where you bought it. But, I'd bet my last nickel if Missoni's name wasn't attached to this stuff, there'd be plenty of it sitting around untouched.Loves it. GKB looked precious when I tried her skirt on her last night. Haters gonna hate.
