    Welcome!
  • Hello there!  I'm American, but I grew up in Seattle which isn't too far from Canada, eh?  ;)  Welcome to the board!

I grew up 5 miles from the Canadian border and made a pretty sweet Degrassi reference in the "high school bans mirrors" post.  If you get the reference let me know and we can be best friends forever.

    Welcome!

Crap.  Degrassi was slightly before my time.  Can we still be friends? Wink

It was before my time, too, but we watched Degrassi Junior High in my 7th grade "life skills" class.  Literally that's all we did was watch Degrassi on VHS.

So, yes we can still be friends. :)

  • Ditto whoever said they forgot how many Canadians we had. I'm not sure if I forgot or just never knew but either way!

Welcome - I'm American and DH is N. Irish and we live in Boston now with our two kids. We started out in London for two years which is how I ended up on this board.

I am not a Canadian, but I am a former Vancouverite and can claim that the cuteness in my siggy was conceived in Canada.

Vancouver is by far my favourite Canadian city.  That's where DH did his undergrad - at UBC.  Your DS is a cutie!

Thank yooouuuuuu! And I love it out by UBC. I took several Russian classes out there and went to the occasional lecture.I always said that if I was Canadian and/or went to uni in Canada UBC would be my first choice.

Me and my English DH lived in Kits, so it was pretty close by :)

  • I've never been to Canada, but on South Park, they said Denmark is the Canada of Europe, and I'm in Denmark, so it's basically the same. Right? ;)

About to float off and watch our election results?.

  • Welcome aboard!  I didn't even know there were so many Canadians on the board.  Anyhoo, DH and I are Californians living in New Zealand with our 6 month old kiwi-American DS.  I've only been to Toronto once, but I did watch Degrassi on afterschool specials :)

  • Hi there! DH and I are Canadians living in London, we were in China for a loooooong time before that though. He's from Edmonton, I'm from St. Albert and BC ( yeah Kelowna! )

    Welcome to the board!
