Re: From MM and to liven this place up!!

  • I'd like to say no, but I like what I do too much to stop.   I would for sure have a lawn guy and house keeper.
  • if i needed to.

but i'd probably do what a few of my "housewife" photography friends do-- still work from time to time, but funnel all proceeds to charity (Pictures of Grace is one of the photogs who does this).

  • Not at this job.

If I could find something I loved, I would work.  But I'd probably just do volunteer work.

  • No.  At least not right now.

I would go to college.  And then work part time if I could find something I loved.  Or just do much more for my church than I can do right now.

  • Yes. I would be my own boss and open up my own salon & spa!
  • No. I would volunteer at schools, nursing homes and animal shelters.

They see us rollin'...they be hatin'.
  • Part time doing something I REALLY enjoy that only requires me to work during daytime hours.  Possibly being an aide in an elementary school, like working in the workroom or assisting in the library.

  • Yes, but it wouldn't be my current job...it would be something I enjoy doing.
  • Nope, I'd focus on volunteering and my children.

Pretty much this.  I'd love to find something to do that i'm passionate about or that makes me happy.

  • Absolutely NOT!  I would try to volunteer or do something productive with my time (if DS was in school), but if we made plenty of money, I see no reason to be away from my family as much as I am!
  • Yes probably.  I think I'd finish out the project I work for now (we have 3-5 more years) and fund it too since funding is running dry for all things history.  Then I'd probably commence writing the book I've been researching for the past decade or so.  When my book was done I don't know, unless I found another publication project I was in love with I'd probably go back to consulting/contracting and just work when I felt like it.   I'd definitely have help at home though.

I've been thinking a lot about what I'm going to do when this project is complete, or when funding runs out, I wish the $1,000,000 husband was an option.  sigh.

My big boy is bounding towards 3! Hoping to add a sibling. image Hipster dog is not impressed.

This! I would love to go back to school or I'd run the family restaurant.

  • If I found a job I truly enjoyed, sure. If not, I'd volunteer a lot, or take photography classes and potentially start a business.

  • My husband doesn't make that much now and I already don't work.

    This.

  • I already don't "work" but I'd probably hire a maid/cook or something.  :)

  • I would become a vintage furniture dealer. Then I would have an excuse to hoard chairs.

  • Hellzz no!  While Z is in school I'd be at the gym, at the spa, or at the mall. :)  Ok, I would probably volunteer as well.
  • I would work PRN once a month (keep up my license) and be a huge liver group supporter/promoter and PTO mom, ect ect.

  • Hee Hee he doesn't and I already don't work....though being a SAHM drives me batty sometimes. I'd love to have a part time Nanny to help out sometimes and give me a chance to get things done.

...and I would have a bigger house and be your best customer!

  • probably, but not in the same capacity.

a normal day for me is 7am-5pm plus i work quite a few evenings/weekends. its a labor of love, but not sure that i would do it if i didn't need the paycheck.

if i did, there would definitely be a housekeeper in my life.

  • No, I'd volunteer and spend a bunch of his $ on other ppl. ;)
  • Probably but I sure as heck wouldn't let it stress me out the way it does now.
