I'm kinda disappointed that I didn't read HP throughout my childhood. I feel like I missed out and I wouldn't be as obsessed as I am now if I had gotten it in small doses.
I miss Salty so much it hurts still. Cori is my sweet sweet boy and I really love him, but I agonize over the what ifs with Salty.
I was served foreclosure papers and if God forbid the short sale doesn't go through I might have to claim bankruptcy. I had to talk to a debt collector today AGAIN for a debt that was declared XH's. It throughly pisses me off that he is getting off Scott free and he left me high dry. At least his credit is in the shitter too.
I weighed this morning and I've lost 28 pounds. Then I ate a bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit from Hardees for breakfast.
I hate when people don't pronounce the "g" in "ing."
I hate the word "y'all."
On the last name thing, I hate when women on FB list their name as First Maiden Married when I know their name is First Middle Married with no maiden name. I know it's for being found/identified purposes, but it makes me WTF. That's not your name. I kept my maiden in my legal name for that exact benefit.
I think I officially changed political parties in my mind, but I'm having a really hard time accepting it.
I cannot tell you how much I want to change my name to First Maiden Married (but I'm a lazy arse). I wish I'd done that from the get go, but I was all bebe "I hate my dad!". I let go of the fact that that's also my mother's & brother's last name. I let it be too much about him.
OH! I remembered it. I was thinking about how much I cannot stand the people in my neighborhood that ride bicycles on the freakin' sidewalk. The community has quite spacious bike lanes. USE THEM!
I'm one of those people. Actually I tried to change my name to First Maiden Married and the people at DMV told me I wasn't allowed to do that and they wouldn't give me a license that said that. Which is idiotic, but you know how the DMV can wear you down. I wish I had fought harder on that one.

First Middle Maiden Married (where Maiden Married was a 2-name last name)
but they would not let me do

The woman said if you get married you can only change your last name, not your middle name. She said I needed a court order. Which of course is completely untrue. She was probably just ignorant. The social security people told me I could change my middle name to Billy Bob if I wanted to, they didn't care.
FWIW, I have a friend who couldn't get her military ID with First Maiden Married cause they told her that was illegal. So apparently there are people out there who truly believe this. I knew better, I don't know why I didn't push it at the time. I think because the whole name change thing was freaking me out a little in general at the time.

Your name can be anything you want it to be, but you do need a court order to legally change your name. You can be rumplestilskin poopface, but if you want it on your legal documents, you need a court order. I was actually told the same thing about marriage only allowing a change of the last name. I think it makes a lot of sense. I'm actually really surprised that they gave you a DL that didn't match your SS card, CD.
I have no idea what the rules are, but my SIL did the same thing as CD and had no problem. No court order.
Hm, maybe this is true in NJ? But it's definitely not the case in Florida. Or at least it wasn't three years ago. I applied for a new social security card with my marriage license and used that to get a new drivers license. No questions asked about First Maiden Married. Maybe if you want to change to something completely different you need a court order? But maiden was always part of my name.
That said, I'm very surprised about the last part too though.
It's funny the trauma name changing causes. I remember the guy looking at me as I wrote down that I wanted a double last name, no hyphen, and he was like, "You know you can't just come back in here and change that when you get tired of writing it down, right?" I was like, "That's what I want. I'm not going to change my mind." "Ok, but you'll have to get a court order to change it next time." with judgy eyes. Ok then.
I know. The guy didn't give me any problems about it. I wanted the full middle name, but he said there wasn't enough room.
ETA: I went to the DMV & the SS Office the same day, if that makes any difference. Therefore, I didn't actually have a new SS card when I got my new DL. I just handed over the marriage license & he asked what I wanted my DL to say.
Oh yeah, I take back what I said. My SIL did what LB did. I'm surprised they changed the DL w/out the ss card for CD as well.

My dog is working my last nerve. Seriously. He will not stop barking and I don't know what to do anymore. He's been like this for the past 3 days.

My confession, I love cream of crap casseroles. I made green bean casserole tonight and wanted to eat the whole thing it was so delicious.
I think a lot of us do IIRC. I know I do! We should have a casserole themed book club sometime.
Pants- that's what we've been doing in the past and it's worked but the past couple of days it is not. He just stands there and gets wet.
He's sleeping peacefully now.

When we squirt Gus, he barks at us. Little bastard always has to have the last word.
Try and figure out why he's barking, then try different methods based on that. If he's bored take him for a walk or give him a PB frozen kong.
