I already told him if he gets something I don't like or think we need then I am not helping him get it (co-signing). Yes I know I am being bad but d@mn when you have wasted as much money on vehicles as we have because he thinks they are like underware and you can just trade them out when you get tired of them gets very irritating and expensive.

    Soooo. Is he bi-polar?

And it's not bad to protect your financial future when your H is being dumb.

  • For breakfast today I ate: A huge pepsi, four oreos, and a string cheese.
  • Confession: this whole deployment thing has thrown off our TTC schedule. We were going to start trying in December for no. 2, but now we'll have to wait until he gets back next fall. Which sucks, because JJ will be headed towards 4 at that point, and I wanted to have another baby before he turns 4. Ah well. Not in my hands.

AW: I've dropped six pounds since gallbladder surgery a month ago. Now, if I could just get my lazyass self in the gym to tone up instead of just dropping pounds, I'd be all good.

  • AW: I got a second in-person interview for a job I want.

FFFC: I'm trying to figure out what I can wear to frump it up a bit for the interview, per Puppy's suggestion. I feel kind of silly for even thinking it's necessary.

Big fan...totally sounds like my kind of breakfast although mine may have some visitors named Ben and Jerry today. But I like where your head is.

So I know this may come across as biitchy, but really, I've considered asking you this before based on other posts. It really sounds like he shares some of the behaviors characteristic of someone with bipolar disorder. I think Okla and I have both had a bit of experience dealing with this and I know that I'm more than willing to talk off-board if you'd like to pm or email me.

I'm trying to figure out what I have that I can wear and will still feel somewhat confident. I'm thinking a mismatched suit - black jacket, gray pants, black flats, ponytail, glasses, no eyeliner. THIS IS HARD FOR ME. Stick out tongue

  • FFFC: Today is payday (the extra payday in a 3 payday month). I haven't been good with budgeting lately so I should just catch up on things we need, but I really want to have a little mini shopping spree. I'll probably do some of both.

AW: I just got 2 $50 gift certificates to my favorite sushi place for $25 each on bite of OKC. I just wish they were e-certificates so I could go this weekend instead of waiting for them to come in the mail!

  • So this is dumb but it happened:

Last night DH and I went to Victoria's for dinner (this is our Thursday night football season tradition).  We were on Lindsey street turning north by Dale Hall Tower and there were all of these students walking to and from campus.  There was this smell - not sure what it was but it reminded me of being in college - and all of a sudden I had this overwhelming feeling of sadness.  We got to Victoria's, sat down, and I BURST into tears. I am not sure what happened but all of a sudden, I just felt really, really old.  DH was like like WTF is going on here??  Poor guy.  Anyway, I have felt really sad ever since and I am not really sure why. I have had a hard few weeks at this job - this is a VERY challenging job - I don't know, it was weird.

  • I bought a Missoni picture frame from Target.  I bought a couple of sets of the notecards too, but ended up returning them.  I wanted the flats but they didn't have my size left.  I didn't care for the clothing much, but there were a couple of sweaters that I liked (only XS left, though).

I think that as much love as the Missoni line got, it got much more hate. Especially on the Nest!

Yup - I do too! I also give the side eye to people who make comments to me like "Gosh, I never would have guessed that YOU can cook" - how they hell do they think that I eat?

I'm right there with you.  We got a hefty refund check from our escrow account when we sold our house.  I know we should put it in savings, but I've been sitting here mentally spending it on Craigslist on new furniture for our front room.

I'm the same way. I have friends who had babies around the same time as JJ was born who still say, "Well, I had a baby, so that's why I'm overweight." Um, at this point, our kids are already 3 or almost 3. That excuse doesn't fly anymore. I'm just 10 pounds over my goal weight because I'm lazy, not because I had a baby almost three years ago.

Yeah, I'm a little offended that it comes across that you guys only think it's unacceptable for women. Guys have to be responsible for themselves as well. Though personally, I don't think it's a big deal if someone doesn't enjoy/excel at cooking because we all have different skills and interests, so long as they aren't expecting someone else to provide all of their meals. "Can't" cook = I choose to purchase my meals instead. If you want to be that wasteful, eh, it's your money.

On the flip side, I hate people who say that everyone can have their pre-baby body back if they just work for it. I weigh less than I did before getting pregnant, but no amount of situps can repair the damaged skin that just hangs like an overstretched rubber band or pick my boobs back up to where they used to be.

Thanks ladies; I do not think your being b!tchy at all. I often wonder sometimes myself if he is bi-polar just because its like something different all the time. I know he has a ton of ideas and dreams of all the vehicles one day; but to me it is non-since right now because non of it makes since-sence we do want to start a family. Thank you all for the offer; I may seriously have to take you all up on it.

  • I really, really, REALLY hate when dramatic co-workers email you about something and CC the boss to make you look bad. Especially when a.) It's really not that big of an issue, so including the boss in the email is pointless b.) the problem wasn't even because of you, it was just a simple mistake by a new person in training.

I also hate when a new process is introduced at work and a co-worker pushes it all on you because they are afraid of change and they don't want to figure out the right way to do the new process.

I usually don't have many complaints about my job, but today, people are really testing my patience.

Thanks! Those moments are pretty awesome! I was starting to think, "Maybe running just isn't for me" when I had 5 bad runs in a row. But the 4 mile run plus the realization that my body was trying to fight off a cold all last week made me feel much better.

For some reason, I only side eye women and not men. I think it is because a lot of women think it is "cool" to declare I CAN'T COOK as if it makes them an extra feministic type of person, if that makes any sense, when in reality, they look dumb.
