Re: B&M Mondays
Cookie party?
I make a mean snickerdoodle!
I'm bragging on DH...
Since we are playing kickball tonight, and we played softball last night... my clothes were dirty. I texted him and asked him to wash them for me (he's off Mondays and Tuesdays). His reply? "Already done and folded and put away. Boom."
Love him.

If we do a cookie party, I will make batches of royal icing and bring all of my decorating stuff/cutters so we can do fun sugar cookies.
So...who is hosting the cookie party?
Awesome. Nicely done Mr. bsn1752.
I have decided I am skipping class tonight. DH is leaving for 5 days and we have things to do
I have double ovens... but I'm looking at my calendar and trying to find a weekend day to do it, and having trouble! Otherwise, I'd love to! At this moment, the only one I'm coming up with is the weekend before Thanksgiving... thoughts?
Earmuffs!
Want to host Nov. book club combo cookie party? I can't do both because Nov. is crazy for me but if they were on the same day...totally in.
ETA: I mean, if everyone else in book club wanted to do this. I am not the boss of book club - I just like to do all the things!
I can if you guys want to come all the way to FW...
Chelsea - Definitely! Hope they are able to work it out.
Great job Mr. Andrew! I think you got a keeper on your hands.

I'm glad you've got your priorities straight. I think we could write you a note for missing class tonight if you need one...
Oh so many things to comment on:
1. Thanks for picking up the conversation!
B. A cookie party sounds awesome! We should have one as a Nestie GTG. I'd volunteer my house but it is teeny-tiny and I only have one oven. HOWEVER, I know I could talk my mom into letting me host it at her house. She has a nice size kitchen with double convection ovens. Anyone interested in a cookie party late November/early December?
III. Chelsea - T&P for you and your family. That sounds like a tough situation.
0100. Yay for Brianna playing with us tonight. I was lurking on TK and totally agree that people who join a team and never show up are Flaky McFlakersons. What's even worse than not being able to make it, is saying you will and then just not showing up. We have played one person short at every one of our games this season becase someone has done that EVERY game. Grrr.... <end rant>
And Brianna, that's awesome DH had already washed your clothes. I love when they just take care of things!
ETA - I was typing this when all the discussion of a GTG/book club etc was going on. (I like the way y'all think!) But, I'm still volunteering to host at my Mom's if y'all are interested. She is in Lake Highlands. If we do it somewhere else, I'm game too.

You crack me up. I love it.
Chelsea, I'll be thinking of them!
Brianna, your husband rocks!! Mine left town with HIS laundry he wasn't taking with him in the dryer.
I want cookies....and a glass of milk now.
Dear Professor,
Please excuse Leslie tonight as she needs to make a baby.
Sincerely,
Her friends on The Nest

That sounds like a perfectly acceptable excuse to me.

You guys are too much. I'll be sure to email this over to my teacher.
I am not telling DH, so he expects me home at 9:30. He was sad this morning about me being gone all day/night today and him leaving hin the morning, so he will be pleased. He doesn't know it but he's taking me to dinner.
Mr. bsn is awesome!
Skipping class to catch the 'window' is the best reason to skip class. Also, love the note.
I am totally down for book club/cookie bake off thing, but will not offer to host, only because we are moving in November and I still have no idea where we will be living.
Good luck tonight Leslie...your DH is too cute.
Lacy- I had the same realization about working for the state when I wrote down all the money information and how much I've moved up in 6 years. Very depressing. Sounds like a great opportunity for you and DH, though. Might be scary but new things usually are at first because they are unknown. It'll be a new adventure and just think of the things you can do, like go back to school!
RE cookie party- I'm up for it! I'm hosting a canning party in a few weeks.
I was sick this weekend, lost my voice Friday and got it back today. Feeling pretty crummy overall and took today off and won't be going in tomorrow either. Dh thought I had strep throat but the doctor said that I definitely have a sinus infection and there was no use in doing a test because they are treated the same way. Yay for antibiotics. I just hope I feel better by Saturday.
Girl, you have been sick a lot lately it seems! I'm sorry - that really stinks. I hope that you feel better quickly. If not, maybe they can give you a shot of something to make you better faster? I have a friend who has a very weak immune system, and when she gets sick it takes a while to recover, or she'll get re-sick again, and so now every time she goes in for something, the doctor gives her a shot along with whatever antibiotics she needs, and it really helps get her going again.
I've had a lot of allergy problems, especially on Thursdays. I have not felt this bad since probably last Thanksgiving. Plus, as my DH so kindly pointed out to me last night, the first second I feel better I stop resting and go back to life full force and then just end up worse. And he is right. I just can't afford to go rushing back to life right now. I don't know why I'm good about taking all 10 days worth of meds even after I feel better after 7 days but not that.
