We're moving to Houston.  In a month.

It's great, but OMG, a month??

I didn't realize it was a month.  That makes complete sense, but for some reason it just hadn't computed in my head.

    So happy though!

No doubt!  So glad 1/2Beer will have someone to go to the strip clubs with and she can stop begging me to come with her.

I'll reserve our usual table for the end of October with a seat for Kelly!

We're thinking generally in a westerly direction (potentially Katy or Sugar Land), simply b/c that's more of my "comfort zone", but nothing is set it stone yet.  B wants to get down there and drive the different potential commute routes, etc.  Your neighborhood is definitely on my radar screen, though!  Big Smile

You can let me know if you see any promising listings in your area Wink

  • Anyone want to find me a preschool with openings for a 21-month-old a few days a week, on the west side - and preferably that won't balk over cloth diapers?

  • I was at wal-mart today (go ahead and judge) and I got behind the most unbelievable 2 women today. They had 3 carts of stuff between the two of them and every.single.item they had a competitor ad for (wal-mart price matches). Every.single.item I said. I'm not even sure they were legit on most of the items because the checker kept shaking his head. I didn't notice this when I got behind them, or I would have gone to another lane. All the while, I had a 4 year old having a melt down because I wouldn't get her something from the impulse rack. And then I get to my car and some a$$ left a cart behind my car. Whew, I feel better now.
  • missy that might make crazymichelle come out.

This is one of the main reasons I don't go to Walmart. I could never leave without being angry at something!. My favorite anger inducing story (that didn't happen to me) was a friend was shopping, he went to get something out of the freezer section and someone emptied his cart out on the floor and took it.

  • The high risk OB has ordered progestrone injections until 35 weeks to try to help me go full term this time.

Blah #1 for having a weekly injection for 16 weeks.

Blah #2 for having to go to her office to do it to save at least $1000 (compared to having a home health nurse since DH could NEVER do it for me)

Blah #3 for having been on the phone with insurance, doctor, home health for the past two days.

    I need a drink, sigh.

OH MY GOSH.  That is hilarious only because it didn't happen to me.  I think I'd be so appaulled if it DID happen to me that crazymichelle wouldn't even know how to come out... I'd be standing there stuttering wondering, WTF???

  • I never post here...  but didn't want to make a post post..  My good friend married an ASS.  I'm helping them buy a house.  He is horrible to her and says awful things to her right in front of me.  They fight every time we look at houses.  I really want to tell her not to buy a house with him and run for the hills.  I know she would never do that, but I really think he's an ass.

  • sad, here's to a healthy remainder of the pregnancy, and a baby that stays put until it's time to make an appearance!  the shots and extra hassle will suck, but when you see that little sweet pea it'll all fade away.

dude.  i just had a meeting at sherlock's in cinco ranch.  i knew my clients for this weekend were super busy, so i offered to meet them closer to their home for convenience's sake.

good heavens, cinco ranch is FARRRRR.  like, i felt like i was driving to san antonio.

  • Running FAIL.  I forgot to put socks in my bag.  Sigh.  I suck.  The funny thing is that last Thursday I was all upset and embarrassed because I had grabbed two (obviously) mismatched socks.  If anyone finds my brain can you mail it to me?
My big boy is bounding towards 3! Hoping to add a sibling. image Hipster dog is not impressed.
  • I sold a bunch of stuff on eBay in the past couple of weeks. Because I'm not a regular seller, PayPal is holding my money until October 2 or until I receive positive feedback, which isn't a huge deal because it's just going into savings, but still annoying.

I just went to check and over half of the items that sold (the auctions ended 9/11) are still waiting for feedback to be left and one crazy lady left me negative feedback with this comment:

"The mandoline does not shred - I bought the wrong item."

This was after she sent me three crazy messages telling me her son doesn't know how to use it, can I help her figure it out. How is any of that my fault??

I'm irrationally annoyed by the entire thing.

  • 1.) I wish I had more time to be on here.  I miss you ladies.

2.) Shiner is awesome.  As is wine  As is sushi.  Ahhh, I missed that.

3.) I have gone over to the dark side of cloth diapers and I love them.  Considering I have a natural-birth, exclusively breast fed, baby wearing, cloth diapered baby... I think I'm officially a hippie.

That's what happened to my sister when she lived in Austin.  She also went all-organic vegetarian for awhile too.  Like Charlotte said, I think your fine unless you stop shaving, dreadlock your hair, and start living on a communal farm.  Oh, how I miss Austin.

  • I really wish there was a MDO out there that had fewer than 50 2 1/2 year olds on their waiting list. Yes, I'm an idiot for waiting this long, but I thought I had another option.
