Re: Glee 9/20
Overall I liked it. I didn't start watching it until the second season and I enjoyed that enough to come back this time around! I agree with most that I don't like the musical songs as much as the "popular" music, but I understand that is the basis of the show.
I like the whole "senior year" aspect with Kurt and Rachel figuring out what to do and some people (Finn) being lost. I am interested to see how it all turns out.
I was interested to see who from the Glee Project was on. Linsey was the girl from NYADA. I think she has a three episode contract, so we know we'll be seeing her again. I love that they made that group the exact same as Kurt and Rachel since that is what I thought of Linsey.
I loved Blaine's musical number. I love Blaine, and love Tom Jones, so for me it worked!
I also love Brittney.
Rachel: "I think we should do West Side Story."
Brittney: "Wait, is that the one about cats?"
Meh on the lovey-dovey between Blaine and Kurt. They couldn't stand to be apart from each other, so Blaine switched schools? The writers could have picked something a little more meaningful and relevant - - Blaine's parents couldn't afford tuition and the school was tapped out on scholarships, at least for the current school year? Blaine decided that he wanted to demonstrate the courage to be out in a gay-unfriendly school? And would Blaine's parents REALLY support him dropping out of a posh private school "to be with his boyfriend?" gag!
