FFFC's and AW's

Re: FFFC's and AW's

  • AW: (If you're friends with me on FB, sorry for the repeat, since I had to AW this there too.) We just bought a massive dining table on Craigslist with 6 nice black microfiber parsons chairs for $180.  We had wanted a huge table because our new house has a giant formal living/dining with a big bay window and we wanted to put a big table sideways in front of the window so we could have tons of seating when we entertain.  It came with 6 chairs, but it will easily seat 12 with both leaves in it.  We thought we'd have to save up a while to afford a really big table, so I was super excited to find this one for so cheap.  The people who were selling it had bought a house where the previous owners had left it.  They wanted to turn the room into an office, so they just mostly wanted it gone, which is why it was so cheap.

FFFC:  The table is solid wood, and it is HEAVY.  Apparently I really need to do this weightlifting thing you gals are all talking about, because I could not help DH carry the table.  I could only lift it a few inches off of the bed of the truck, and I was worried I would drop it.  He had the legs taken off of it to put it in the truck, and he carried it into the house sideways by himself.  I felt like the most useless, wimpy person ever.  The more embarrassing part is that this is not the first time something like this has happened.  When we moved into our old house, he unloaded a washer by himself because I couldn't keep a grip on it to help him.  I am a useless furniture mover.

I love stalking Craigslist for furniture. I got a nice table and 4 chairs and a desk from it, both solid wood,  and they just happened to nearly match our coffee and end tables in style and color. I'm currently looking for bookshelves, but I'm being picky so it's taking a while.

My baby girl can clap her hands AND hold up "pistols" for our OSU Cowboys!  Yes, I went all kinds of WT and taught her the pistol thing.  My sister, a current student at OSU, is quite proud of this newest accomplishment.  :)
