What are you going to school for? UWF or PSC?

UWF.  Education Studies.  Im kind of on academic probation (lol at the procrastinating tonight, but I really have been bringing my A game to class with me the last couple of semesters) but once I figure out when Im going to graduate, I might add a minor in Child Welfare.

You dont think you want to stay at NF?  I have a couple of friends that are lifers there and they aren't over the moon in love with their job, but they like it and it pays well, especially as you move up and has good benefits.

Obviously, I would wish for everyone to have a job they're  over the moon for, but I realize that that is just not always possible.

Plus, idk what I want to be when I grow up either and I think Im older than you. lol

I love the company. I love the pay. I love the benefits. I don't love what I do. I feel like if I'm going to move up into any type of management I need to go back to school. However, I don't want to go to school for anything that would help me further my career there. I'm in a 2 year rut about 6 months early.

Then I would be talking to and answering myself. That's a little strange.

What does your monthly budget look like? Income vs. expenses? Do you make more than an average nanny in your area or less?

What are you career goals? Where would you like to move? I know you said previously somewhere with a good public transit system -- usually these areas are HCOL (not always). What kind of job would you get that would afford you to live in these areas?

I believe you purchased your house by yourself before you were married to XH? Was it based on a single income? What changed in your income after the divorce was impending that you resorted to a short sale? What are your thoughts overall on the morality of short sales or strategic defaults outside of your situation?

ETA: The last one is probably very much biased because of the short sale/foreclosure situation in my neighborhood affecting our home value. Just for full disclosure.

Why do you think your marriage ended? Looking back, were there any red flags before you got engaged/married? Did you feel any pressure from the church? If so, do you fault that church community or yourself for following through? Moving forward, what will you do differently in future relationships - dating/engagement/marriage? How soon after meeting someone would you consider getting married and/or having kids?

    And for some fun ones...

What is the craziest look you've ever actually worn? I'm assuming you haven't purchased or worn red pants yet. ;)

What year did you graduate from high school?

Favorite song on the radio right now?

  • Thanks for answering my questions. :)

I know you didn't ask for my input, but if I would kill to move to a city like Chicago and be a nanny for a ritzy couple and live the city life. KILL. Cool thing to consider while you don't have anything tying you to Pensacola. Yes

Thanks again. Feel free to DD. I know I asked a lot of personal stuff and, again, I appreciate you sharing.

  • I dont have anything juicy.

I started Glee after my last post, so Im out now.

    Photobucket
  • Are you sticking with Glee the rest of the season? We're giving this week a last shot and then dropping it if it sucks. The premiere was AWFUL.
  • Im sticking with it.  Im a sucker for anything that busts out into song randomly.
    Photobucket
  • Haha I was telling H on the way home from dinner how much I loved the Greys musical episode.
  • I did too!  I felt like I was the only person who did though.

If I could bust out into song randomly and it be normal I would do it.

    Photobucket
  • Have you downloaded any music from Brandi Carlisle? She wrote the song Callie sang at the end of the musical episode and I've been obsessed the last year. The song is "The Story" (Omg. Ugly cry) but her whole album is freaking amazing.
  • Yes!  She has an amazing voice and that song killed me when I first heard it on the show.  I ended up watching a bunch of her live performances on youtube that night.
    Photobucket
  • Haha, same here exactly.
  • Well darn. I missed the good stuff. FTR, I also loved the musical episode of Grey's.
