Since its so slow, humor me.
We are having a hard time with names for the little girl. The three I've thrown out are:
Claire, Emma, Elizabeth.
Claire is the only one (first name at least) that DH is considering, its my mothers name so I hope it sticks but I want to make sure we both feel good about it.
We've looked at some of the lists but nothing ever sounds good to us.
So give me some names you like... I know people have "their" names... I'm not trying to steal anyone's names so you can keep those to yourself if you wish... I just need ideas.
Re: Girl Names
Claire is at the top of our middle name list if we have #2, and if it's a girl. It came in second to Kate (Ls middle name), I think it's beautiful.
If you're looking at names like Claire, Emma, and Elizabeth, I doubt our girl list would be helpful to you
but they are: Ryan, Peyton, and Leighton
Cora and Charlotte have always been my fav
I really like Claire too.
I like Claire!
Morgan
Tatum
Georgia
Ainsley
Luella
I really like Claire, esp. b/c it's a family name. Emma is way too popular IMO (although, I guess not necessarily a reason not to use it). I also like Elizabeth, though.
We are having trouble thinking of names, as well! We had a girl name for DS that I thought we would use for DD, but DH is not as keen on it anymore, and we haven't thought of anything different, yet. I still have a couple of months to go, right?? ;-)
Miriam
Kay
Collette
Elaine
Feel free to take any of them. We won't be having any girls.
Claire Elizabeth was one of my top names, actually. I love it.
I like names that can be serious or made into nicknames easily...
Alexandra (Alex/Lexi/Alexi), Hope (no nickname,
), Jaqueline (Jac), Katherine (Kat), Rebecca (Becca), Corinne (Cori/Rinna), Abigail (Abby/Gail), Margaret (Maggie), Addison (Addie), Francesca (Frankie/Cesca/Fran) etc.
Although I'm such a nickname person even names most people would have a hard time making into a nickname, I would do if a mother (but don't worry for those whose kids are named this; I will only call your kids what you allow me to, lol):
Helen - Helena
Wait - Claire (really Clarabell is what I'd say playfully, I imagine)
Anne (Annie/Annabelle/Analise/Analisa/Anaphalactic j/k... except for tickle time)
- Paula Deen to 104.1 KRBE's Producer Eric 9/17/2011
I really like Claire.
If we ever had another girl, she would be named Davis Kate.
So Tasty, So Yummy
I like Charlotte for a girl and call her Charlie. I also really like Bryce for a girl.
After reading a few posts I think Clara is adorable.
yes, I love this one too.
oh!! Never ever have I seen anyone suggest this as a name on here. Long, long ago when I was helping a friend come up with names for her baby, I decided that this was the my girl name. I never did have a boy name picked out.
It didn't come into play when Tracey was born because her name (all family names) was a natural choice for us. I still like it, but I'm not certain I'd still use it if we had another girl.
My faves are Stella and Lillian.
I love Claire!
I also like Emily, Sara, Annabelle, and Grace these days.
I don't have any girl names that I'm in love with, but I'm related to a lot of people, so I'll give you a list of some of my female aunts and cousins:
Melanie, Marie, Catherine, Rose, Jane, Gabby, Kathleen, Juliana, Parisa, Margaret, Joanne, Jan, Mary, Pamela, Anne, Joan, Maureen, Martha, Diane, Carrie, Marcia, Anna Maria, Ashley, Naudia, Caroline, Erin, Kate, Elizabeth, Olivia, Dahria, Kareen, Blake, Nedra, Glynnis, Kelly, Sharon
I know there are more, but I am having trouble remembering everyone right now...two beers and all...
Click it if you can't say it!
Dh was stuck on Gianna. I really like it, but wasn't feeling it.
Tessa, Gemma, Sadie, Cora, Gretta,
Well if we were having a girl we would have gone with Audrey Faith. I have always loved Audrey Heburn so if Tyler would of been a girl we would have that name! You may steal away since we are not having anymore kiddos.
I love the name Emma and Elizabeth. I have 2 cousins with those names.
Oh and I have some more...We had these on our list:
Jessica Kate
Alexa Nicole
Blakely(not on our list but I useed to work with a Blakely and always liked that name)
Audrey Grace
I could go on and on!
We had a really hard time with girl names too. Boy names came very naturally to us, but a girl name was a struggle.
I'm going to throw out some family names that I always liked, but we didn't use:
Lucille
Marilyn
Angela
Other names that we liked but didn't use:
Caroline
Rebekah (biblical spelling)
Leah (pronouced like Princess Leia)
Claire is my and DD's middle name, so obviously I like it. With your last name, I might like Clara better though.
Other names we seriously considered for a girl: Viola, Katharina (DD was almost this), Sydney, Margaret.
I'm currently really loving Margot, and if we have another girl she may end up Margaret nn Margot (since DH isn't as big a fan as I am, but Margaret was his grandmother's name.)
I also really like Cecilia, Alice, and Lora.
I have seen a couple of little girls named Aiden lately.
Margaret aka Maggie
Eleanor aka Lainey
Corrin
I LOVE Julianne
Kendall
Kensington (I saw the other day)
I also love Charlotte aka Charli
Tatum
Arden
I love the name Ellen. I think it's so classy. Boy names are MUCH easier for me. Girl names are tough. Not too cutesy and not too much name. It's hard.
I doubt I'll ever have a LO to name but if we have a girl, she'd be Amaya Luna. I also love Stella as pp mentioned, Lily, and Estrella ("Star" in Spanish).
A friend of mine is having a Demi soon and I think that's really cute too.
I love Emma and Claire.
We are actually considering Logan for either a boy or a girl.
Other names I would consider:
Emily
Lia/Leah
Ava/Avery
I have always loved the name Isabella. I have nieces named Hailey, Madison (Madi), Peyton and Morgan. Love all of their names
Other names I like..Olivia, Addison,Brooklyn,Layla,Riley,Bailey,Tatum and Landry
Fiona
Noelle
Loralei
Here's our running list:
Camille Evelyn
Eleanor Lucille
Matilda Jane (DH's pick)
