For the hell of it: boy names
What boy names is everyone liking right now?
We have 2 boys and have exhausted all our good family names. If we have a 3rd boy, we'll probably go with Stellan or Soren (Norwegian), although August is still always there in the back of my mind (it was #2 on the list for Mathis)
Re: For the hell of it: boy names
I sadly cannot remember your oldest boy's name - my mind keeps drawing a blank, although i am sure I *know* it. (does it start with a T?)
I know you like names that aren't completely mainstream - so these 2 come to mind that friend's named recently.
Merrick
Lachlan
Do you have something to tell us??? ;-)
Larson might be neat, too.
ETA: If you are looking for something European (I know a Dane named Soren) - I also knew quite a few foreign exchange students:
Dane named Mikkel (rhymes with Nickel).
Frenchie named Johann (J=Y sound)
Frenchie named Arnaud (sounds like Ar-new)
Or maybe, you are sticking with Norweigian b/c of a family history? - just throwing out some unconventional name ideas.
ETA: A few more -
Mikkel's brother's name is Rasmus. His dad's name is Anders
Carston
Frederick
Henrik
Jakob (although a popular name, maybe not with the "k").
Jonas (hopefully won't be associated with the Brothers! lol)
I did know an August in college.
We have some friends who have a boy named August (they call him Augie). I think it's so cute!
Natalie's boy name was Carson, but we don't love that anymore. Julia's boy name was Gavin, which we still really like and will likely use if there is a #3, and if that #3 is a boy.
Truitt
And yeah, HELL NO. Not saying it's not down the line, but right now I have other priorities. Like getting drunk for 2 weeks in Australia with my BFF.
I've always dreamed of a boy named Davis but it doesnt work with my last name since most people would think his name was the opposite as they've done to my husband his whole life (still do).
Our other names for DS were Colin, Connor, Cooper and Cole though I don't think we would have used any this time around if we were having a boy. We liked C names.
Cooper Otis - that was what L would have been named if she were a boy and what #2 will be if we get that far. Cooper has special significance to me, Otis is J's middle name.
and weave?
for apples?
sled?
are you making fun of my future child's name, viOla?!
Thank heavens Tori was not a boy. We could not agree on a boy name for the world.
I liked Grant. DH hated it.
He (and his entire family) liked Remington. After the gun. Umm, no.
Jackson. Dh would call him Jack because he thinks Jackson sounds too much like Jackson Montgomery (which only makes it better for me, hubba hubba).
It would either be Jackson Benjamin or Jackson Harrison.
I know 3 last names in a row sounds like we would be naming him after favorite presidents or something but they are all family names. Harrison is DH's middle name.
I like Harrison Parker but then he'd be Harry Parker, and could be turned into Harry Potter or Hairy Porker.

LOL!!!
It took me a minute, but then I couldn't stop laughing. LOL My coworkers think I'm a little more crazy than they already did. ahahahahaha
Our family name favorites are: Cooper, Carter, Cason, Lars and Hugh and Elliot.
Other favorites: Colton, Anders, Cohen and Andrew.
My family tree is full of Olafs, Sorens, Bjorns, Gunnars, Knutes, Leifs, and Thors. Gotta love Scandinavian family trees.
Brandi, if you have another baby you need to name him Titus. that charachter on HBO's series "Rome" (with your last name) was EPIC and totally worth naming a baby after!
If the vasectomy ever fails and I end up having a baby boy, his name will be Augustus McCrae Marsh. No questions asked. Gus is my favorite male literary character of all time!
If it's a girl, Josephine or Jasper.
my photography blog
Grayden was always Grayden. It was the first name (boy or girl) that we discussed and that's just what it was.
Bennett was almost Declan. I liked Bennett better, but I do like Declan. It will be on our list for #3 when the time comes. Grant, Nolan, Finn and Davis were all on the list too.
Both boys have family middle names, and it so happened that G's middle name covered both sides of DH's family and B's middle name covered both sides of my family. We're tapped out on good family names now though.
ETA: I forgot Elliot. That was my first choice before Bennett, but DH hated it.
I have no clue. Cooper was always going to be Cooper. We never thought about other boy names.
I like Raymond and Jackson. Nothing really stands out to me though.
this - LOL!
someone above said Anders. I like that name.
We have a Nico and a Marco. I'm out of boy names too but if I have another boy his name can not end in O. DH really likes Luca.
I need some Italian girl names that aren't over used. Hopefully I will have a girl eventually.
Oh yes. And they wanted to call him Remi.
Nicknames don't bother me necessarily, but my kids don't have nicknamey names. Grayden doesn't really have a good nickname, although occasionally someone will try to shorten it to Gray, which is annoying and just doesn't sound right. He's Grayden.
Bennett could be Ben, which is an alright name. But Bennett is a cool name and I've made it very clear to most people that I know that if they ever try too shorten his name they will be shanked with a butter knife and exiled for all of eternity. Don't call him Ben. Or Benny. Or Benny and the Jets. Because I will hate you.
I heart you.
BbbbbbbBenney and the Jets
Maximilian Drew or Caleb Bartholomew
I still love them
Conor
Declan
Jameson
Grant
