Re: Modern Family
I really enjoy the show as well, but unlike so many of you, Phil is BY FAR my least favorite character. His character is.....pathetic in a way, and for me, not always a sympathetic pathetic. I mean, it's great to have dreams and have fun with life, but I feel like he reminds me too much of all the annoying & oblivious drivers, cell phone talkers, texters, etc that exist in the world today. Plus, he, more than most--seems to just be an excuse maker & enabler for so much of today's bad & annoying behavior in our society today. Almost like a real-time version of Homer Simpson. But, on a show like MF, I think it's an OK character to have in that cast.
I have no problem with the new Lily. I actually prefer her, it's nice that they have a child who speaks now.
Love the show! Really smart and funny writing. I love a show that I have to pay close attention to, or I might miss a joke or a tidbit they'll bring up later.
Not crazy about the new Lily. I guess they're going for the "brat" angle?
This week's episode was awesome. Snorkles!! SNORKLES!!!!
Mitchell's reaction to Snorkles was perfect. I don't mind the new Lily, but why is her hair always a mess? It seems like Cam would be all into styling her hair, cute headbands, etc.
The entire Dunphy clan is awesome
I cracked up at how much Jay loves that dog. I hope they keep the dog around, too!
I think having an older Lily makes it a little better to gauge sibling rivalry and have a better character interplay once the new kid is adopted, assuming it's a baby.
And I just got into this show over the summer and watched the second season on Hulu (not the first, I have to find it), and holy shiit they get me. I love you, Modern Family.
DH and I LOVE this show and its one that we will watch over and over and laugh every time!
Oh, and my absolute favorite character is Luke!
