Mackenzie Brynn has arrived
My water broke at about 1:30, literally 10 minutes after Brice got in the door. Immediately my contractions got super intense so we rushed to the hospital. I was 5 cm when we got here at 2:00. Was pushing by 3:30 and she was born at 4:38. I had some pretty serious 3rd degree tears they had to call in a specialist to fix me up and it took quite awhile. we got into recovery at about 9pm and are going to sleep. I'm exhausted. I'll update more tomorrow perhaps.

congrats Lindsay and Brice!!! Welcome Mackenzie
I can't wait to see pictures!
Advice for the 3rd degree tear (I'm so sorry to hear that, they are no fun). Ask the nurses if you can get some frozen menstrual pads, at the hospital here they gave me some, and although at first it hurt like a muther*** it helped with the swelling and chaffing quite a bit. Also pick up some epsom salts if you don't already have some, and take sits baths, that also helped out quite a bit.
I'm so happy for you

they are definitely nice to have at home, I bought some cheap ones and soaked them in water at home, put them back in the box, stuck them in the freezer and used them for 2 more weeks afterwards
