I also just experienced something similar....I actually went to the doctor because I was sick he said I had caught a viral infection but before giving me antibiotics wanted to make sure I was not pregnant. Well long story short i had just went before going into the dr office soooo I just couldn't go. He had given me the safest antibiotics he could....they give the same one to pregnant women....I had a pregnancy test at home so i decided to take it well my husband looked at the result and it said pregnant it was an ept digital soooo couldn't tell if it was faint or not we were really in shock bc this was the 1st time where we said we would stop not trying to not get pregnant....anyway my husband still wasn't sure so we had to go to walgreens to pick up my medicine it was about 2-3 hrs later when i took the 2nd HPT same brand and test.....it came back negative so we were very confused...so about 3 days later i took the 2nd test from the box and still said negative I was starting to spot and wasn't sure if it was pregnancy or my period.....anyway today I got my period with cramps and all cramps were pretty bad but i usually get cramps every month my period was about 5 days late..... I had been looking up what a CP is and I think that may be what happened but not sure....i was depressed thinking how this happened and was it my fault but my wonderful husband just said we'll just keep trying...and well i guess i can get pregnant so i guess that is the good news anyway i know exactly how you feel you get soooo excited start making plans and then the unthinkable happens sooo we are gonna keep trying as well good luck to all you ladies who are still trying like us!!!
