Dear Nesties,
Thanks for all your t&p's over the last week. We went to the specialist last night and her CTscan showed the widest part is actually only at 4.3. We need to montitor it again in 3 months so we can get a baseline on if it is fast growing or not (most likely not). He said unless it is fast growing it should be at least 10-15 years before she needs surgery on it, if ever. He did encourage her to lose some weight and be good with her diet as with her diabetes and age she must keep herself in good health to prevent further complication down the road.

So happy to hear that it seems like the best case scenario for your mom. I'm sure that is a huge weight off your shoulders.
Dear Nesties -
We won our first kickball game of the season last night! Wa-hoo! 1-8 for the season. :-/
Dear allergies -
You can take back the sinus headache you gave me this morning; and the runny nose. Ugh, just go away!
Dear self -
No matter how nice it is to keep the windows open, you know better. It is not worth the allergies that you will wake up with.

Dear Nesties,
When I say I'm going to do something, I do it. Come hell or high water, I make it happen. Why are other people so wishy washy and non-committal?
-Frustrated Me
BL - Excellent news!
This morning I got into the car and heard the woman that Kidd Kraddick had gifted IVF to announce her pregnancy. I do not know her but I am very happy for her.
I need lighthearted T&P girls - My best friend has been single for about 18 months since her last nasty break-up. She has gone on maybe one date. This last weekend we went out on Saturday with the intention of doing dinner and a movie, we decided to get ONE drink at Barcadia and ran into old friends...long story short it was a 3am night.
When I picked up my car from the valet, I started talking to him and it turns out he is a realtor and valets for extra money as he is big into saving. He is also single. My best friend looked at him and said, "you are really cute." She had had a little to drink...haha. They talked for a bit and exchanged cards. We thought he would totally throw her card away and write us off as giddy drunk girls....well, he emailed her yesterday, she emailed back and it seems like he is interested. She could SO use this confidence boost and from FB stalking he seems like a really nice guy...any extra vibes you have for her would be awesome. I would love to see her go on a date and even more so find someone to be with. She so deserves it.
Dear Nesties,
Also, - I made $96.50 on my graphing calculators on EBay. Who knew I had $100 just sitting in a box in my closet all this time?

Very exciting win! It was a blast!

BL - That's a Praise Jesus moment right there. SO glad you're able to let go of some worry in that situation. You're a really great daughter, and your mom is so lucky to have you!
Dear Nesties,
This was supposed to be the last week of boot camp. This morning, our instructor asked if we wanted to go for another month, and called for a vote. I found myself raising my hand and voting "yes". I don't understand why, because I hate it every.single.day... but I find myself wanting to keep doing it, because I don't want to go back to being as weak as I was. SO, never-ending bootcamp for Chelsea.
BL - Great news!!
Leslie - I so hope it blossoms into something wonderful.
Tiffany - And now we can go shoe shopping...
OMHs,
I apparently have some sort of insomnia. Probably not true insomnia, but I definitely have had a hard time going to sleep the last few nights. It's so hard to turn off my brain.
- Very tired Me
Stephie,
Where are youuuuuu? We are waiting to hear about Vegas!

Good vibes to your friend Leslie.
Stephie, I seen the pictures but I want to hear about it!
Chelsea, even though you arent loving bootcamp are you noticing changes?
Yes yes, Stephie... we need Vegas stories!!
BL,
I don't own a scale, so I don't know if I've actually lost weight. But I know my jeans and a few skirts are looser, so I think I'm losing inches. The biggest change, though, has been my energy level during the day. I'm sleeping harder at night, and ready to go in the morning. That's pretty much never happened my whole life.
Thats awesome, I rarely weight myself but go by how I feel and how my clothes fit. I am glad you are noticing a difference and hopefully you will start to feel strong too thats always good for the confidence.
So, I'm still new here and feel weird doing this because none of your really know me but I need to get this out.
I have a friend and I'm 99% sure her son is autistic. I don't know how to talk to her about it.
FWIW - I have a Master's in SPED - I'm not coming out of nowhere with it
PCOS and Endo
Ovarian drilling and endo removed 1/3/12
BFP - 3/27/12
Beta's 11, 14, 57, 637, 2800
Sono showed no baby and teeny tiny sac. Waiting to M/C naturally.
BL, Glad you got some good news! I know that has to be a relief!
OMHs, we find out what the baby is this weekend! I'm so excited!!
DH, thank you for FINALLY stepping up and showing an interest in SD. I can guarantee the "change" you have noticed is because she is feeling the lack of attention from you. Thank you for going to lunch with her yesterday and telling your boss you were leaving early to pick her up. I promise it will make a difference!
New meds, you are wearing me out. I'm in a daze 24/7 and it's not fun. They are really helping with the issues but dang it is hard to do anything when I'm so out of it!
Dear Honeycrisp Apples,
I love you, that is all.
Tiffany -
Wow, $100 from calculators. Maybe I should sell mine, I never use it.
Chelsea -
That's awesome that boot camp is going so well! I won't go as far as to say that you like it.... yet
Dana -
It sounds like your H is making an effort to step it up. I'm really glad for you.
OMH's -
Has anyone heard from Kathy? I think she is due in November, but haven't seen her post in a while. Just wondering how things are going with her.

Dear BL, yay for good news for your mom!
Dear Chelsea, yay for looser fitting clothes! I didn't own a decent scale until this past summer, and it's now my best friend. Not in an obsessing-over-the-numbers kind of way, but in a congratulatory way when I'm doing good.
Dear Book Club girls, Last night, my BIL decided he and his gf and their two kids are driving up from Houston to visit us this weekend. James said it's not rude for me to still come to Book Club, since I've had it planned for so long and they didn't exactly ask if it was okay to come this weekend, but I still feel a little weird about it. As of now, I'm still planning on coming, but I need some reassurances that it's not horribly rude for me to bail on family time. It's not, right?
Don't worry about it, we are nice.
How good of a friend is she? If I were your good friend and you came to me and told me that you see a lot of Autistic children in your work and you thought my son was showing signs, I would like to think I wouldn't freak out on you. If you come to her from a professional standpoint and have examples she might take it better. Also, if you have a suggestion for what she could do as a next step, something not pushy that would probably help as well.
That being said, I have a friend whose child I think could really use some sort of intervention and have mentioned it casually before and he completely ignored it. Things are getting worse but I just let it go after mentioning it once. I feel like it's his child, his decision and I mentioned it once and that was enough.
Absolutely not. You had plans and they are coming unexpectedly. My IL's showed up a couple of weekends ago unexpectedly and I already had plans. DH entertained them while I was gone and everyone was fine. Unless your family is unreasonable they will understand you have plans. Anyway, it's like 3 hours not the whole day. Maybe your DH can take them to lunch or something?
Agreed. Plus, look at Titan's face... he says you need to come.
"Come to my house for book club...and bring bacon!"
Leslie - Haha, hilarious! Angie - you can't argue with that face!
Dear Nesties,
I missed you guys! Vegas was alot of fun and we had a great time. I have vacationitis already. Man, I will never need Gamblers Anonymous--watching our money go down the tubes is not what I would call fun. We did not win even one dollar--WHO are these people that win all the time?? We ate and drank and laid by the pool for hours. It was perfect. But now my desk is a mess and I'm buried. Oh well, that's the price you pay I guess.
My pics are up on FB.

Just do it!
Agreed with Both! What do I need to bring again?

Dear wasps-
Back again? Really? Why can't you just leave us alone? Hopefully between the strip we put in your home and sealing the holes up, we don't have to deal with you much longer.
Dear DH-
Thanks for climbing the ladder all the way up to the roof because we know I have a hard time going past the 3rd step. Also, thanks for finally piping up about our trip. When the only input you were giving out were alternative places, it was stressing me out to the point where I nearly said forget about it.
Dear BL-
I'm glad your mom got good news and this is not stressing you out so much anymore.
Dear vacation request-
Please don't get any crap from people as well as approval.
Dear Angie-
I think you are in the right to skip out on their visit for a few hours. If they did want to spend the entire time with you, they will hopefully learn how to plan better for next time.
So remember when I said I couldn't come this Saturday because I'm scheduled for work? Wouldn't it happen to be the only Saturday I'm scheduled to work for the rest of the semester? Ugh.
Lacey - 1. Are you going to book club this Saturday? 2. Do you still want any of the silver pumpkins from my wedding? 3. Would you be willing to stop by TCC and pick them up from me that day? 4. That goes for anyone who would want some, I painted over 100 for the wedding, and even between my mom, my sister and myself, we don't need that many.
Bobbileigh - Glad to hear positive news about your mother!
Leslie - I hope this guy turns out to be something special for your friend.
