I like Whitney! LOL I think I am the only one!

How the heck is Whitney being picked up?! I mean is she related to a higher up or something? Geez!
Ratings speak louder than anything. The demo that is watching The Sing-Off isn't one that is going to stick around for a show about bunnies, at least for the most part. It did get a crappy time slot. Whitney might be crappy (don't know, haven't watched it), but it must be getting decent ratings to get the full season pickup already.
Surprised nothing got cancelled after 1 episode this year.
my read shelf:
Ughhhh, I liked Playboy Club!

We like Playboy Club, too!
We also watch The Sing-Off...
TI, IUIs, IVF = c/ps and BFNs
This is Sing-Off's second or third season, though, right?

This is The Sing-Off's first full season, it's previously only been on for 3 weeks right before Christmas.
I'm surprised the Playboy Club has been cancelled already. I'm pretty sure Whitney cut a deal with the network, which is why it will survive this season. My guess is that it probably had something to do with the development/writing of new shows and/or her other show, Two Broke Girls. She has her hand in a lot over there at NBC. That's pretty much the only explanation I can come up with for that.
I like the Playboy Club but had a feeling it would be cancelled. Oh well.
ETA: Anyone know if the cancellation is immediate? Trying to decide if I should watch last night's episode, keep the setting for future shows, etc.

It is. Prime Suspect repeats are filling its spot until the end of October when Rock Center with Brian Williams takes over.
I really liked Whitney!
People either love it or hate it! I love it!
Thank you! Well, my DVR is very very full so I will survive this. LOL

looks like I wasn't the only one that liked The Playboy Club.
It's a shame that it didn't get to stick around longer.

I think sitcoms are a strange breed. Some are slam dunks, like Friends. But I think most are love them or hate them. As long as they develop a decent following they can stick around for awhile even if the critics hate them. Personally cannot stand 2 Broke Girls, The New Girl, Whitney, and Two and a Half Men. Find them unbearable.
I think they are the hardest ones to predict if they will stick around. Dramas cost more money to make, so it's easier to predict which ones will get canned based on critics reviews/ratings.
