They (she and her H) are actually business partners with my H. He has known her for a long time. I'm going to see if I can get her to bring it up and go from there. I know no parent wants to hear that - I wouldn't.

Dear guy on the History Channel-
Your hairdo...I'm just speechless.
Dear Rocket City Rednecks-
I wish my husband did not enjoy you so much. I know you are from the south but boy, your accent is a bit too much and I have a hard time watching. DH says that's how I sounded when we first met but I don't think for one second I was that bad.
Dear Playboy Club watchers-
Goodbye Eddie Cibrian. It has been canceled.
Dear self-
You are just now eating for the first today and you are seriously slacking on your water intake. By now you've had about maybe 15 ounces of water when you normally are almost at the end of your 64 ounce jug.
YES PLEASE! As soon as Spring has an iPhone, pretty much no matter the cost, we're getting them.
ETA: Thanks for the T&Ps for Gertie. Apparently, she had some sort of blockage. Long (and pretty gross) story short, she's on the mend now. Poor puppy just needs some TLC this afternoon!
Oh good! I was going to suggest that she might have ate something that she wasn't supposed to....but I didn't want to cause concern when I had no idea really.
Thanks!
Tiffany, I thought maybe that was the issue until she was waving her head around like some sort of demon possessed thing, and that's when I got really nervous. Apparently she just had a pretzel caught in her throat. Oh, the joys of having an 18 month old, and a fragile puppy. What did we sign up for?
Here's a link to a picture of Gertie back in March... I don't know how to PIP, or I'd do that...
CLICKY
Oh goodness!! Well at least it wasn't something too horrible to resolve.
Gertie was just weaned when we got her, and weighed less than 2 pounds now. She's nearly full grown now, and weighs 5 pounds. We chose this breed because they aren't yappy like other small dogs... they're energetic, but not hard to maintain. *Unless they eat pretzels.
Another major part of the decision is that Havanese don't shed their coats more than people lose hair, and they're also hypoallergenic.
If we're just going to be gone for a few hours, we leave her, and she's always been just fine as long as she has her stuffed squirrel. Weird but true. If we're going to be gone longer than 5-6 hours, we take her to my mom's just so she doesn't get lonesome. I think if there was another puppy, though, she'd be fine!
Oh, YAY! Havanese Hi-Five!
Yes, Gertie was the runt of her litter... she won't ever get as big as she's "supposed to". She may gain some weight yet, but the vet said she's as tall as she'll ever be. When we cut her hair short, it's even more striking how short she is.
Dear Nesties -
I have to get this off of my chest because I haven't told very many people. But I had my IUD removed yesterday and DH is gung-ho about starting TTC. We always talked that this is when we would try for #2, and I know some of you judge people who start TTC within the first year of marriage... but we feel like it's the right time. But I am scared! I know I've already gone through this one time... but she was an accident (a wonderful one, but an accident nonetheless).
Anyway... I feel much better finally putting it out there.

Shoot! If it had been financially possible, I'd be due, like, right now! And our anniversary isn't till the end of this month, lol.
I think it's normal to be excited *and* scared. Good luck!
Eeeeeeee! That is exciting. No judging here!
YAY! You wont see me judging. I think it is different for everyone. I don't believe being married for only a year has anything to do with deciding to have baby. You two already know what you're in for and have been together much longer than a typical married couple. Screw judge-y people!
Brianna - Yay! That's exciting!
I don't think the amount of time your married particularly matters that much. It's personal preference and whats best for the couple.
Leslie - That mirror framing tutorial on Pinterest is crazy awesome. I'm absolutely going to do that!

Have you talked to her about it at all? Obviously she's too young to understand that you're TTC, but have you talked to her about if she wants a little brother or sister, and all of that? My little niece tells my brother that she wants a little brother but not a sister, and it cracks me up.

YAY for you, Andrew, and Cadence, all I ever wanted was a brother or sister.
Cadence does the same. She actually thinks that she gets to choose if it's a boy or a girl. The other day I said "Cadence, what would you think about Mommy and Daddy having a new baby, and you can be a big sister?" She walked right up to me and said "Really Mommy? Really?? Like... now?!!!" It was so cute. I know that she will be a great big sister - just gotta get there!

How exciting!
Ditto Lacy.
Excitement!!
Yeah! Good for y'all! We are 2 weeks away from our 1 year and I'm 20 weeks. If DH didn't have an almost 7 yr old and wasn't going to be 35 the week before the baby is born we might have waited but it was good timing for us. I'm glad Cadance is on board too.
Bri - I thought this might be the case when you mentioned you were going to a new gyn yesterday. Good for you guys and Cadence! Haters are going to hate no matter what so do what you want. I hope your journey is short and you have a baby to love on next summer!
Tiffany - I know! DH and I talked about it the other night and we are totally doing it to both bathrooms. It improves that ugly mirror by 1000%!
