Do you wear slips?

I don't, but I feel like I should remember to pick some up. I have memories of my mom harassing us to put our slips on before church and I always hated them.

Re: Do you wear slips?

  • Absolutely not!

Though I have the same pre-church memory as you, too funny.

  • rarely.

I have a few half-slips that I got cheap somewhere--which ALWAYS made more sense than a full slip--they could be put on after the dress!

  • Only if the skirt fails the light test! But I usually don't buy stuff that is see through, so no. I don't remember the last time I wore a slip. I'm not even sure I still have one (I used to have a 1/2 slip).

  • I don't either.
  • I wear a slip pretty much every day (I almost never wear pants). They totally remove any VPL or VBL. I'm a fatty, so I get the spanx-like slips so they do wonders for shaping, too. I've gotten to the point where I feel weird wearing a dress without one.

  • Never owned nor worn a slip.

  • I do, with sheerish dressed. I have one full slip and three or four half slips. I like wearing dresses and I own a ton.
  • I don't. I might if it was really obvious that one was needed.
  • I wear spanx - does that count?

  • I spent an embarrassing amount of time trying to figure out if "slips" was some cool slang word for "slippers."

    So . . . no.

  • I do. It takes the static cling out of my dresses.

  • What's a slip?  (kidding)  I think I might have one somewhere that I never wear.  Some of my stuff has a liner already in it.  It seems fairly easy for me to find things like that.  I used to always worry that the slip would be longer than the skirt or dress.
  • Rarely.  I own a couple, but haven't seen them in years.  Tights and Spanx are good enough for me!
    This is my siggy.
  • I used to. But the dresses I wore them under don't look right on me right now. I lost all the weight but my clothes don't fit right.

I'll wear them again if/when my belly ever flattens back out again (it was never flat, it just wasn't so "ick").

  • I wear full slips all the time. I found some nice batiste ones, so they are very comfortable, and make my clothes lay better.

  • Whenever I wear a dress or skirt, I wear a half slip.  I feel odd without them and they really do make the dress/skirt look better.  If I was a skinny little thing, maybe I would skip the slip.

  • I can't remember the last time I wore a slip, and I too have the pre-church memory of Mom hounding us to put our slips on! Hehe. I haaated wearing slips. To this day my mom still "encourages" me to wear a slip if she sees me in a dress.

Along the same lines, I rebelled hardcore against pantyhose and currently don't even own a pair. I cannot seem to wear them once without a snag so if I need a pair I buy it for that occasion and expect to ruin them during the occasion. Or while getting ready.

  • I used to when I was a kid.  Now I avoid anything that would require one.  I hate them.

  • I have one white skirt that I wear a half slip with and that's it.

  • I do, just because I have a tendency to not be able to 'see' myself properly.  I'd rather have some slip hanging out the bottom than show my boobies in something that's more sheer than I thought, kwim?

  • Nope.

I also never wear hose.  Even when I wear a skirt suit to court.   I don't do hose, it is my nemesis.

  • I wear half slips with skirts and sometimes also with dresses unless they have a good lining. This is probably not the norm though. I also wear pantyhose any time I wear a skirt to work which I know for sure isn't the norm. Call me old fashioned :-p

Same here. My mom used to bug us to put on the slips and I hate them. So I don't wear them. Embarrassed

  • Yes, but it's mostly because I feel that it's an extra layer of cover and I am pretty modest.

I've also incorporated them into foreplay with H, as he loves watching me get dressed (bra, slip, spanx and he is salivating).

    tmi? sorry lol

Even the spanx have him salivating? Hahaha! Love it.

I love a man that is easy to please. ;)

I am seriously rethinking my "no slip" stance - H loves undergarments, especially what you might call "foundation" garments - he'd probably get hot for spanx too but I don't have any.

    This.

Full slips are comfortable and sexy.  Also- decrease the need for dry cleaning dresses and skirts with every wear.

  • LOL I'd have to own or wear a dress to need a slip. So nope!
    Oh, FFS.
