Re: QOTD - Thursday
We're like domestic..we have a lot.
2 iBook G4s (from circa 2002 :-), iPod from 2003, iPod from 2005, iPod shuffle, iMac, 2 iPhone, and an iPad. All of the old machine still work like day one.
Honestly, I felt pretty sad when I heard he died. Even though he had been sick, you just keep seeing him doing keynotes and I just didn't expect it I guess. I just wonder how much he would have come up with in the rest of his lifetime. Thinking of him only being 56, there were probably a few more ideas in there.
We have 3 - I have an iPod Shuffle (though I don't use it often, just for running), DH has a MacBook and an iPod Touch. He wants the iPhone when it comes to Sprint in a couple of weeks, but it's not in the budget. I'm sure he'll get one eventually! At work, we are almost entirely Mac-based, only our office manager has a PC, which I use occasionally to test how our sites look on a PC. I love using my iMac (which I also used at my old job in DC). When my laptop eventually dies, I hope we can afford to replace it with a MacBook.
The owner of my company worked at Apple in the 90's. He said he had hoped that Steve Jobs had a few more products in him.
I think that he probably did leave some plans behind, and so I think that Apple will be able to execute them.
I heard an interesting story on NPR on the way home that said that Steve Jobs is essentially the Thomas Edison of our time. He's the reason we all have computers in our homes.
