Re: Wait guys, I had a baby too!
Ditto everything you just wrote. I used the nipple shields as well AND I also went to the BRC in Abington. It's directly across from Abington hospital and they were so great there. Baby D was having trouble gaining weight so my ped told me to go see a LC at the BRC because they thought something was wrong with me. Here, the LC at the BRC was the one who told me that Danica was tongue tied!!! The hospital didn't tell me, the ped didn't tell me... but here the LC told me. I had to make an appointment for her to get her tongue clipped right away. Had it not been for the BRC, we would have never known which could have led to lots of problems in the future. .
i'm loving this nest baby boom, congrats!!!
and pretty much ditto what everyone else said on the breastfeeding topic. The nipple sheilds def helped and i just warned anyone that was coming over to be prepared to see b00bies because i felt like i was either nursing or pumping 24/7!
I think I am going to have a party for myself when my milk is in and I have satisfied the boy with my milk alone.
