Did we see this?

Probably MUD, but here you go:

OP knew her husband for a month before they got married. They've been married for five months and they haven't met each other's families yet. OP's husband is talking to exes and promises he will stop and never does. It's a lot of awesome.

Re: Did we see this?

  • Normally I am just a lurker on this board, but I just had to say... As much as I would like to believe this is MUD, my friend almost ended up in almost the exact same situation not so long ago... Military guy, got engaged after two weeks, they were planning on getting married in a few months, hadn't met his family... Luckily, she came to her senses before it went too far. Oh and he also was still talking to other girls. Go figure.

I just don't understand how people can get themselves into these situations...

  • A girl I went to high school with left her high school sweetheart of five years (which, that relationship would have ended anyway, as they had outgrown one another) for a guy who HAD BEEN STALKING HER. As in, watching her working, asking coworkers for her phone number, sitting in his car waiting for her to get off work--finally he started texting her, she started texting back, broke up with the other guy, and married the stalker three months later. This was two years ago, they're still together, he's deployed, and I've hidden her on my Facebook feed because every other day it's "I MISS DH SOOOO MUCH!!!" or some quote about how being separated makes your love stronger. So, I guess it's working out for them. Or something.

Those rapid-fire military marriages confound me.

  • I know someone like that.  They got eloped after dating for a month before he was going to start training in the military.  Before their one year anniversary, he had already gotten another woman pregnant.  He denied that he ever cheated, but the paternity test came back proving he was the father.  They are still together which blows my mind.  He was 18 when they got married, but she was in her mid-20s with a one year old.  He posted about all of this on Facebook which is almost as good as it would've been to watch it on Maury.
