I kept dreaming last night that there were snakes in the house. Someone (don't remember a face in my dream) kept telling me that there were snakes that would fall from the ceiling by the windows. Our bed is right under a window and I kept waking up (I think, unless I was dreaming that I was waking up) worried that snakes were going to fall on top of me.
I don't have any weird fears about snakes (I'm not super fond of them, but don't freak out over them either). I've held snakes and put a huge python over my shoulders before when DS had a snake party once.
I wouldn't even get up to use the bathroom because I was afraid I would step on a snake. I've never seen a snake in the house and only garden snakes outside.
What's my deal? I rarely remember my dreams, but I keep thinking about this one. I did google it and it appears that snakes in dreams often signify creativity.
Re: What does it mean when you dream about snakes?
LOL...could be!
Do you think any of this applies to you?
To see a snake or be bitten by one in your dream, signifies hidden fears and worries that are threatening you. Your dream may be alerting you to something in your waking life that you are not aware of or that has not yet surfaced. Alternatively, the snake may be seen as phallic and thus symbolize temptation, dangerous and forbidden sexuality. In particular, to see a snake on your bed, suggests that you are feeling sexually overpowered or sexually threatened. You may be inexperienced, nervous or just unable to keep up. If you are afraid of the snake, then it signifies your fears of sex, intimacy or commitment. The snake may also refer to a person around you who is callous, ruthless, and can't be trusted. As a positive symbol, snakes represent healing, transformation, knowledge and wisdom. It is indicative of self-renewal and positive change. meanings
Ooooh! I have a dream book! There are over two pages devoted just to snakes!
Snakes are a forboding of evil. To see the wriggling and falling over others fortells struggles with fortune and remorse.
From what I am reading, how you approach the snake (or the snake approaches you) tells about your fears. So - - your dream means that you are worried that a bad event will literally "fall on top of you," and the fact that you are in bed "when you least expect it," or "when you should be relaxing" However, the fact that you are warned means that you have friends looking out for you, or that you will have some kind of warning to escape the bad fortune/trouble.
(my interpretation is based on the book saying if you see a snake in your bathwater, means that you expect trouble when you should be in the midst of uninterrupted pleasure, and a separate paragraph saying if you see a snake on a garden path, think you have destroyed it, but later see it again means you think you will overcome your trouble, only to have it rear its ugly head later).
I'm sure everyone will now jump on this and turn it around about my relationship.
I didn't actually see any snakes in my dream, just someone telling me they were there and were going to fall from the ceiling.
I attended a wedding on Saturday, but it was a very positive experience.
***Story poofed as promised***
Morty, I definitely did not intend to make you feel that way. I literally googled "snake dream symbol" and c&p'ed. The's what I do when I dream about something and see if any of those definitions can be applied to something I'm going through.
Sorry I jumped to conclusions. I just know how people on here feel about me any my relationship and can see people saying it must mean that I feel like my relationship is failing or I have a fear that I picked the wrong guy or something (like the first few lines of the description indicate).
Yeah, after typing out my situation with the condo and then thinking about my dream it made sense. Especially since I just discussed it with my neighbor yesterday.
It would be more fun if the dream was about peen. But the snakes falling from the ceiling/potentially shady situation upstairs definitely makes sense.
It sure would! I never have fun dreams. I usually only remember dreams when something unusually stressful is going on in my life.
This happens to me as well! It's kind of annoying.
Promising news on the condo front, so hopefully no more dreaming about snakes! LOL
