I'm leaning towards "yes," but as always, I have not a damned clue what to write about.
Re: Anybody doing NaNoWriMo?
I'd love to. I miss writing!
But, loke BV said... schedules, schedules, schedules. I realized today that DH and I are putting in 12-14 hour days, everyday. But maybe being creative would be an awesome outlet.
Currently Reading: Don Quixote by Miguel De Cervantes
I've attempted it twice and failed twice! Life gets in the way and I end up giving up because of lack of time.
Anyway, I'm learning French right now for work, so that's going to keep me busy.
I am. I started outlining a couple of ideas already.
We're kind of going out.
I might. I'm scared though. I'm a notorious non-finisher of things.
Updated September 2012.
I think you need to at least try. I love the way you write.

Ch-check it out! http://www.nanowrimo.org
Want to write 50,000 words in 30 days? You know you do!!
Lucy, me too. I go in guns blazing and them ... womp, womp. Sad trombone.
I'm going to. I have some characters kind of developed and the opening scenes and stuff outlined. It's going to be a fictionalized memoir - widowed mom of teenagers.
I blog about a lot of the same stuff, though, so for the last six months I've been letting the blog go. Every word I put up there I DON'T get credit for on NaNoWriMo!
Have fun!
I've been meaning to do it for the past couple of years, so maybe this will be the year.
Do most people plan it all out what they're going to write beforehand? If I do it, I probably won't have time for much planning, so I'd just write and think as I go, probably...
Lucy, I just stalked your blog and have to co-sign what imoan said.
I'm probably going to. I'm going to be in the middle of crunch time for school, so that will be my priority, and I'm going to be working so I won't be able to stay up until two like I did last year, but I'm still going to give it a try.
I have three ideas and one concept floating around in my head, I'm not sure which way to go.
Aw, thanks! You know though that if I do this, I'm totally going for cheap thrillz instead of actual, you know, quality. lol.
Basically what I'm saying here is that if I actually endeavor to do this, it's going to have to be a trash novel in order to keep my interest. lol.
"Keep going, Lucy! There's sex coming up in the next fifty pages!"
Updated September 2012.
I'd read it.
I bet her FUPA's name is Shane, like the gunslinger/drifter of literature.--HappyTummy

You're making me want to do it. I'd love to do a fictionalized account of XH's from the perspective of his therapist. Ooh, I think I might be on to something here.
As this was suggested and reminded to me by Nesties, now I'm thinking of a good online stalking novel. lol.

I am going to do a bastardized version...
basically write SOMETHING for an average of a minimum of at leat 5 hours per week.
if I get 3 partial short stories otu of it, it's better than nothing, right?
DOOOO IT. DOOOO IT. DOOOO IT. (sorry, I have a game on in the background.)
I'm hoping I'll have time. I'll sign up and give it a shot, and not beat myself up if I don't exceed. With work and commute, I'm out of the house for 12 hours a day, and with just moving into a new house and getting everything situated, I'm sure I'll be pretty strapped.
Last year I came up with my idea on October 31. I thought about a couple plot points and named my characters that day and that's it. I did all the planning while I was writing in November. I did finish and I was so proud of myself.
This year, I am insanely busy but I am going to do it again anyway. I'm cheating a little - I have a story started already (about 10k words) and I am going to use that. I've been planning and doing research this time around, so hopefully I will be able to write 50k on it.
Lucy, I write trashy historical romance, so you wouldn't be alone.
Another trashy historical romance writer here.
I usually pick something the month before and change it four to five days in. lol
My first year I wrote 50k of an unfinished story about a mob mistress circa 1955 but that was started six days after getting nowhere with an indian kidnapping of a white woman in Texas circa 1830.

Late to the game.
Like Imoan said.. I'm doing it. I've been working on the idea for years. I'm fine tuning of a few of the tools I want to use and then I'm diving in come Nov. 1
After Violet's post I think I'm going to write about Helen Keller's double life as a sighted, hearing person.
But more seriously I'm going to sit down and come up with ideas tonight. Trashy historical romance actually sounds fun if I could make myself do enough research to have it be believable-ish.
Clearly you don't read much of the stuff if you think it needs to be believable-ish or if you need tons of research to make it so. lol
