Re: Say say say- Anything
Yesterday Cooper stayed home with my mom. Not 15 min after I left, she called. He'd followed her into my bathroom while she grabbed laundry to wash (have I mentioned she's awesome?) and he grabbed J's cologne off of the counter. Dropped it. And it broke.
She felt horrible. I told her that it wasn't her fault - he could have easily done it with us there and J should put it away, not on the counter. All C kept saying was "oh no!" over and over. I mean, couldn't he have dropped an almost empty something? Not an almost full bottle of cologne??
Bet your bathroom is rather...fragrant...now!
LOL That's exactly what I was thinking, couldn't he have dropped something less smelly??
well now you have to ask it because I'm nosey.
Nope. The filter is a very useful thing sometimes.
So my mom has to have at least a month of daily home health care visits to treat the wound from the spider bite/staph surgery. Crazy that one little bite could turn out to be so serious.
My 11 year old nephew has chosen to be Rick Astley for halloween. Other then singing the song I have no idea how people will know who he is. That doesn't bother him in the least.
That kid is awesome.
That is amazing. I love it!
Last night I was rear ended by an extremely intoxicated young man. While we were there waiting for DPS to come he was offering to buy weed for the Sheriff deputy that had responded. He then offered to give up his dealers in exchange for going home. Once he was finally cuffed and sitting on the curb in front of the DPS car, he fell off the curb and was rolling around in the street like a turtle trying to get up.
I have never in my life been involved in something like that.
I guess it would have been frowned upon to record that mess huh. Maybe you could get the Sheriff camera footage. That's worth watching again. And go Tigers!!
There were some people standing on their front lawn recording, I should look on YouTube. This kid was a mess. He was mostly concerned with when he would be able to have another cigarette. I'm sure his parents (who insure the truck he was driving) are super proud.
And thanks! SO excited
Detroit sports are whoppin some @ss right now!

In less than six days I get on an airplane to travel to Europe. I will be gone for 15 days. I have just NOW taken out the borrowed suitcase, opened it up. And what do I have in it. Socks. And undies. That is it. Nothing else.
I can't seem to make myself pack. Don't know what's holding me back. Anxiety? Scared? Depression? So much going on in my head. Sigh. I do know one thing. I leave the 14th. I arrive on the 15th. The 15th would have been my 6th Wedding Anniversary. He always promised to take me to Europe.
I just wished I could get my crap together...
And I saw some pajama jeans at CVS the other day. Thinking about getting them for the long haul flight to Barcelona!!!
i think the anniversaries and "would have" thing will be difficult for a long time, honey. i hope you can get there and immerse yourself in new sights and things, and just breathe and feel wonderful... i will pray that for you : )
i'm leaving for jamaica on thursday morning, 6 am flight, and i have yet to unpack the suitcase from last week's trip. so, big picture, you're a couple of steps ahead of me! gooooo you ; )
i'm a last minute packer for the most part. and honestly, i'd live out of the suitcase until it was empty then let my cats sleep in it if it were up to me. if you need something, you can get it in europe. just be sure you have glasses and medicine-- everything else is negotiable!!!

Wait - you mean I'm not the only one who is gross & creepy on this board!?! Welcome to the club, Dana. Red wine or white?
And hugs... I wouldn't throw that makeup out either if it isn't giving you problems. As long as you aren't using the original applicator sticks - i'd be super impressed if they survived this long, though!

Jax - have a wonderful time in Jamaica.
ST - have an amazing time in Europe. My backpacking trip around Europe was a total experience of healing, life lessons, adventure and getting a new perspective. Kind of Eat Pray Love-ish (I told Red_Dahlia as much when I borrowed the book from her), but something that I look back on fondly. Anniversaries will always be hard, like Jax said. But maybe take something of Corey's with you that you can bear to part with, so he goes with you. But then shred it, mix it with a lock of your hair, and toss it into a river, a hillside, the ocean - whatever is applicable based on where you are going. You will have taken the trip together and left a little of both of you there for always. (I know that is terribly sentimental but I think you can dig sentimentality so I'm offering the idea even at the risk of sounding lame...).
Kreeper - your mom does sound amazing. And know what, so does your son. His saying, "oh no... oh no..." sounds like he cares a lot about taking care of Mommy's and Daddy's things. Accidents happen as you know, and it sucks it couldn't have just been a bottle of rubbing alcohol or something... but so sweet of him to be concerned and your mom too!

Awww! One of my most treasured possessions is the aladdin's lamp thingy my godmother kept her "roaches" in during her last days (also cancer). It makes me giggle to think about her tokin' it up because that just is not at all the image i had of her.

My BIL is dating a 20 year old. His last girlfriend was 34. He is 27. I'm not sure what my feelings are yet.
In tears over this. There are no words.
