Halloween drink/punch ideas?
Yeah, I know I could Google this (and I will), but I trust you hors to give good recommendations more than the guy who says, "This vodka-based drink sucks because I don't like vodka) or whatever.
Anything good? If it's Halloweeny or autumny, that'd be great.
Re: Halloween drink/punch ideas?
Back off biitch! MINE!
No, seriously. We can share? For you, tequila sunrise. Is that high brow? Probably not. But I like them.
I love this idea. You fill a non-powdered latex glove with water & freeze it, then pull the glove off of the ice & float it.

Of course we can share.
Are you having a party?
I think the ice hand is a cute idea if you do a big bowl.
I will think of something helpful to contribute, I promise.
I think I'm going to do that, and I bought some eyeball ping-pong balls to drop in too (after I sterilize them, of course). But what am I putting them in? Should it look like blood or slime or some black goo? I suck at drink ideas. I am awesome at cooking and baking, but I think I'd just serve mojitos and tequila sunrises at every party. I think I love orange juice too much. Maybe I'll just dye some orange juice red and serve that. And then have, like, a bottle of vodka next to the punch bowl.
None of us are big drinkers, so it actually wouldn't even have to be alcoholic and everyone would be cool with it. Although, playing Arkham Horror with a little bit of a buzz would probably be hilarious.

That looks super awesome! I wonder if I could pull it off in a punch bowl or if it'd have to be in the individual glasses. Probably that second one. But I love it!
Instead of buying ping pong balls for the eyeballs, buy some of those plastic, water filled, reusable icecubs and somehow make them look like eyeballs...then you can freeze them and use them to keep it cold.
Good plan, Mort. I think I'll probably have the ice hand floating, too, though, so it'll help it stay cold. Unless I go with the brain drink, because that looks super awesome. But I am not sure everyone will want to be drinking, so maybe I won't go with that. I wonder if I could make it non-alcoholic?
I've done this! Turns our very cool (I used cherry vodka and excluded the marshmallows):
Icy Hand Halloween Punch
2 2 liter bottles of Lemon Lime Soda - make sure to get a clear brand
red food coloring
marshmallows (optional)
Chill the Vodka (in the freezer) and Soda (in the fridge) for at least 24 hours. Just before the party combine the two liquids in a large punch bowl. Add a few drops of the red food coloring to make it blood red, well maybe more than a few drops. Add one of your icy hands* in the center of the bowl, throw in the marshmallows and squirt some more food coloring over all of it for extra bloodiness.
*Take 2 (always good to have an extra hand) latex gloves, put them on and wash your hands with dish soap. Rinse well and turn the glove inside out so the just washed side is on the inside. Next, fill the gloves with water, tie the end and freeze. Once frozen remove the glove and you are good to go.
Here are some non-alcoholic drink ideas:

I am partial to the bloody bug juice.
If you delete the kids, etc. from the url, you'll get alcoholic ideas. Most of them have quite a bit of alcohol in them, so they may not be right for your crowd. They could give you some ideas though.

Not Halloween-y, but autumn-ish: mulled cider. Then have a bottle of dark or spiced rum (your choice) for people to add to their mugs of cider.
Also, the pomegranate martinis I suggested in the other post could look like blood. You could mix up a batch and use it as a punch, I suppose, though that would be quite a bit of pomegranate juice.
Or you could mull wine, it's also good.
You could make glogg or mix captain morgan with hot cider.
