What's your comfort food? What do you eat when you're feeling blah that always makes you feel just a little better?
For me, it's wings. Hot, extra hot, spicy garlic, asian, parmesan garlic... YUM. And maybe some
. A blue moon is always nice.
Also, my mother's vegetable soup. Either that, or homemade bean dip with cheese and salsa.
And finally, everything POTATOES. Mashed, cheesy, roasted, baked, casserole. I just adore potatoes. I could seriously eat potatoes three times a day, every single goddaamn day.

Re: S/O dinner: Comfort food
Oh God... haha.
Basically anything with cheese... I really love baked brie with finely sliced potatoes (think au gratin sliced), sliced bacon that is cut up in there, chives & broccoli. You leave the brie rind on for a good flavor and let it bake to perfection. It will make you so fat, but holy moly it is so good.
Also, steamed buns with meat or red bean paste. They are so fluffy, hot & delicious.
Meat or veggie filled Asian Dim-Sum Type Bun
Red Sweet-Bean Paste filled Steamed Bun
The red bean paste sounds nasty, but oh my gosh it is so good. Not too sweet but balances with the fluffy, warmth of the bun. Dammit the bakery is closed at this hour otherwise I'd go over and eat like a pig lol.

This.
Pasta with butter, mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, yummy bread. Twice baked potatoes. Oooh I'm hungry now.
Macaroni and cheese, fullstop.
Not the blue box crap or kraft dinner... grated sharp cheddar (and/or smoked gruyere) in a bechamel with nutmeg and dijon mustard over macaroni or rotini or shells.
Anything homemade with my family's old recipes--
Chicken noodle soup (but only with homemade noodles like my grandpa makes)
Meatballs (but only with home-raised beef and my grandma's recipes)
Chocolate cake (best with homemade caramel sauce like my aunt makes)
Comfort food for me HAS to be made from scratch. And is typically served around a card-playing table.
Mac and Cheese: I prefer my mom's, but if I'm desperate, I'll eat the blue box stuff. And it has to be in my favorite big bowl. It makes it taste better
Pizza: No explanation needed, the cheesier, the better.
Ice Cream: Any flavor, I'm not really picky, if I'm going coneless, it has to be in my big bowl, if I have a cone, it has to be the big waffle cone.
Coffee: A big, warm cup of coffee, in my favorite coffee mug.
Dang it, now I'm hungry!
Risotto the way my family makes it (just butter, maybe minced onion, arborio rice, chicken broth, & parmesan, nothing fancy)
Also our annual Christmas lasagna. Maybe a really good bolognese, too.
If I don't have time to eat, a well-made cappuccino always makes me feel better.
ETA: Also, tortellini in brodo (The same one as before...chicken broth, chicken & prosciutto tortellini, and parm & pepper on top)
