Hi Everyone -
Looking to switch bottles for baby #2. I used Breastflow for #1 and they were fine in the beginning when I used them minimally since I was mainly BFing. But once 6 months hit and I started using them exclusively I wasn't crazy about the nipple.
I got a few free samples of the Playtex Drop Ins -- anyone use them? Do the bags get pricey?
Also thinking about Born Free?
Any other recommendations that I should think about. I know some people love Dr. Brown's but don't want to deal with cleaning of that many parts.
Planning on BFing for 4 months with occasional bottles.
Re: Bottle Recommendations
With Brandon I used Born Free - he had no issues with them.
With Carys, she didn't like the wider nipple for some reason. She actually preferred the ones that came with the Medela breast pump kit - just normal tall/thin bottles with the smaller nipple.
I think it really depends on the kids since both of my kids preferred different. You just gotta try some out.
I will say that I HATED the playtex drop ins, sometimes they would fall out the bottom and I'd get it ALL over me, and the baby's face!
I used Born Free with # 1 and using them again with # 2 ... love them, never had ANY issues at all ..
i love my avent but fair warning, they are a little tempermental in the leakage department. i love them enough to look past all that
#1 I started with Avent and they ended up leaking a lot. Went to playtex air vent.
#2 I started with the drop in's and the few times i used them, i twisted the bag to get the extra air out, like they say, and it collapse and went everywhere. tried the new verson of the air vent and they leaked when warmed up. Then went to Dr Browns and they were great.
for this reason they drive me insane! i can't wait to throw them out & tell everyone i know not to get Avent!
