Re: FFF Friday
Sorry to hear you had a rough start to your morning. Hope it gets better and continues to go well throughout your weekend
We were going to wait for the 5's. But honestly both are phones were so old and ready to be trashed. I couldnt help myself. We discussed it as our christmas presents to each other for this year
- that way it's not totally justified in more than one way lol
You crack me up.

I am super late to this party but my later flame will explain why.
On the smoking thing. I had a TM back in NE who smoked through her entire pregnancy THEN proceeded to smoke in the car with the windows up with her newborn in the back. She would bring her daughter in and none of us could even stand to hold her because she smelled like an ashtray. I wanted to call CPS so bad.
I flame my work right now because we are moving our team today (all 70 of them) two sups are out and then the phones stopped working so we are and have been at a stand still for almost 2 hours. Now half of my department is in one section and the other half is in another (with about a 4 minute walk in between), which may not seem so bad but when I need to tell the other sup something urgently and dont have a working phone the 4 minute walk pisses me off.
So I went to the dr for a sonogram and my 20 week appt today. My appt was suppose to be at 8:15 but they called yesterday and asked if we could move it back since the dr had a surgery she needed to do this morning. Fine, whatever. My sonogram was at 10:30 and dr appt at 11. I get there about 10:20. The place is packed but they are calling people back quickly. I sit and wait. Around 11 I finally go to the front desk and tell them I have to use the restroom and I know they are going to need a urine sample so I can just get that done. She says sure and I go back. I come back up around 11:15 and stop and ask if they know how much longer it will be for my appt. The front desk girl ask my name and all that and says, "uh hold on" and looks lost. She says it will be a few more minutes. I asked what the problem was. She said the sonogram lady was backed up. I waited longer. 11:30 I finally get called back.
I do the sono and the go see the dr. The nurse for my dr comes in a apologizes for the confusion. I said what confusion. Apparently when they called and changed my appt yesterday they forgot to change it themselves so I looked like I missed my 8:15 appt not coming in for the 10:30 appt. I'm in and out of the sono and dr visit in 35 min. If I hadn't waited the hour first in the freezing cold waiting room I could have been in and out in less than an hour but someone forgot. So annoyed!!! I was freezing, starving and I told my boss I'd be gone about an hour not 2.5 hours.
BL - I know how annoying that is. "small" things like that dont seem like a big deal - until your job revolves around it. I use two screens all day. and when one goes down it will honestly take me about triple the time to have the same production level. It's not because i'm spoiled - its because its a needed thing to make my job go smoothly.
Dana- I would have ripped them a new one. Congrats since you didnt
back to the iphones (i might do this alot today so i apoligize now) I just played with the "Siri" for the first time - i told my phone "i'm hungry"....it's response? "I have found 22 food locations near to you...." *lists locations*.
Yeah - my phone talks to me - can't say my old one did the same. :P
My car has the Sync system, so it does something similar (minus the witty responses to nonsense questions) and once you get used to speaking to a machine typing things in seems like such a beating. Haha!
Lol...I sometimes feel this way about flushing the toilet at home because ours at work have sensors and flush automatically. What is this world coming to?? HA!
haha! I know right. I think me and this "Siri" are going to become good friends. It's useful/helpful - and she(?) has a good sense of humor....did kind of creep me out a tad when i asked it what its favorite color was - and it said "I can't tell you that Ashlee"
ummm....okay? Officially creeped out a tad. lol
My parents have the touch faucet on the kitchen sink and a motion-sensored trashcan that opens when you hold something over it. So, yes, I'm the crazy person who goes over to other people's houses and taps the faucet and waves at the trashcan.
Leslie - I'm in Carrollton, but I'd bet there are free classes closer to me. Thanks for the tip!
I do the same thing - along with wave at lights - that's always my favorite lol.
I used to work at the RadioShack Corporate campus and we had auto-flush toilets, auto-sinks, auto soap and auto paper towels. I left that job four years ago and sometimes still have trouble in public restrooms.
Are you people aware the Nick is playing 90's Nickolodeon shows after 10pm? I just learned this on Getting Pregnant and I am about to go home and load up my DVR. Stick Stickley is even the host!?!
LOL!
I saw that video for "Siri." I told Ben I don't really like the idea of my phone having that much power. It's creepy.

So, I'm off today so I just thought I'd check in.
Chelsea - I totally laughed out loud when I realized you had gone on a bender probably 2 days before I met you. Awesome. ;-)
Also, this hands free discussion reminds me of the new Verizon service that can unlock your doors, change your thermostat, etc without you being home. IDK about you guys, but I have FIOS and their customer service is as bad as gets... no way I would allow them access to my home door locks!!
BAHA! That's totally right. It was the weekend before my meeting with you. We reeeeeeally enjoyed the after party of a friend's wedding.
This girl posted on FB about how her iPhone wasn't delivered due to lack of signature and wouldn't be delivered until Monday. She called the courier and they said she could pick it up at the central hub but they didn't know when, they'd have to call her, which she was displeased with because she has plans tonight.
She just posted that she emailed every one of the executives she could find for this international shipping company about how unhappy she was.
Are you kidding me?!?!
ETA: It was UPS, I don't know why I went all "company who shall not be named" in my original post. Haha.
Apple is notorious for wanting signatures for their items. From what I understand and what Bill has said, they will not leave a box with an Apple product on a doorstep. And, I can totally understand why and I'm sure she would be just as mad if someone stole hers off her doorstep while she was gone.
I can definately understand why! It's a $700+ phone!
sheesh!
MIL had one pre-ordered - she didn't go in to work today where it was to be delivered. UPS called her and said he could meet her at another location on his stops if she'd like - or he can deliver it another day - but he wasn't leaving it there.

Apparently people steal packages all the time around Christmas. Some people make a living off it all year round.

We had a "over 21" signature requirement on our pillows from the 4Seasons. I had to leave work early last night to make sure I'd be home to sign for them.
