Re: Tell me about happy things
In no particular order:
* My daughter reading to my sons.
* My elder son watching "how to train your dragon" and patting the floor next to him while calling for the kitty just after the little dragon curls up under hiccup's arm.
* DD's birthday this weekend.
* The super big, giggly hug I'll get when I pick up the boys tonight.
* The toothless grin + squeal from the littlest one when I bring him his food.
Something that made me happy recently:
DH stayed in bed an extra 30 minutes this morning just to snuggle with me and share his dreams from last night. His dreams were particularly giggle-worthy this morning.
Adding- The weekend weather has been great and we have been taking really long walks all over the place. I like walks.
Things I am looking forward to:
1. My darn neighbor to be done with this back deck that he has been working on for what seems like months. I am so so ready for a peaceful saw-free morning.
2. A free concert on Thursday.
3. I'm going to Thailand!!
I think I may have finally found my wedding dress after irritating everyone on the nest - I'm just working out the details w/ the person selling it.
I'm also excited because I've lost 7 pounds since the beginning of August - woohoo!
Yay DL!
Things that make me happy right now:
~All the friends I have made since moving here. I've met so many amazing people and I couldn't be more grateful. After years of being so sad and lonely (pathetic!) in OH, I feel so happy and fulfilled here.
~H. He makes me happy every day. I freaking adore him.
~I just made the cake in my sig. 'Nuf said.
I started the C25K program a couple of weeks ago, and BF is doing it with me to show his support. I've come to enjoy our little run/walks as good quality time together. I've always hated running, but now I'm starting to see the appeal.
My annual review made me happy. The substantial raise made me happier.
I'm looking forward to a mini-getaway this Saturday. We're going to another town about 45 minutes away for outlet shopping, a nice dinner out, and a ghost tour of the historic area.
ETA: Interro's stories about her BF make me happy.
I love my kid. I love his giggle, I love how he's learning his animals sounds and i love that he's getting big enough to look out the window whenwe drive and he points out the trucks and tractors and cows (and even a dog this morning!).
I kind of like my husband. I mean, he's growing on me.
I farted last night and my H said it smelled like waffles.
lol I'm still cracking up about it today.
I've lost 2.6 lbs since Friday! I know it's mostly water, so shush.
I've been (mostly) sugar free since Friday and feel great (had some wine Saturday and ate some homemade applesauce that had a little sugar in it, but that's it). I also gave up artificial sweeteners (with only a few exceptions)...which means I haven't had any diet soda since last Tuesday.
I finally bought some boots.
I'm looking forward to nothing going on this weekend. It's the first one in a long time.
Aww, I like everybody's happy things!
Muddled - where in Thailand are you going and for what? My friend has family there and she goes every summer. I soo want to go!
My happy things:
I had a delicious pumpkin spice muffin last night and it was so good I bought 2 to take home.
I had a great weekend with my family and I got to hang out with the cutest twins ever, they are only 2 weeks old and I was in heaven holding them.

And we are having a big PARTAY this weekend! Our first OOT guest (Dh's brother) arrives from London on Thursday!
I have a cracked molar and may need a root canal or an extraction (I'll know Thursday) and I DON'T EVEN CARE! (as long as it keeps still until after the party, right now it doesn't hurt, touch wood).
Yeah that's right my name's Yauch!
I love your happy things.
And I AM bringing that cake to book club tonight so wear your eatin' pants!
1. I have a LOT more followers and views on my blog than I was expecting. Most of whom are complete strangers. It makes me feel good.
2. My sister is coming to visit the weekend of Halloween! I'm sooooooooo excited!
3. I'm going to Salem this weekend!

Because I haven't been yet!
We haven't figured out all the details. We have our tickets, but other than that, we are still in the planning stages.
So exciting! When are you guys going?
Yoga pants double as eating pants - PERFECT!!
They triple as club pants if you subscribe to the ML fashionistas, lol.
I love that we are going from yoga to eat cake and drink wine. CLASSY LADIES!
Not until spring. Lots of time for planning! Yay!
I WANT SOME OF THAT CAKE. I made peanut butter cookies with chocolate chips in them last night because of you, BBE!
Gault, did you see The Dread Pirate Joaquin yet? Because yeah, my kid is super happy-making.
Also, I got some apple cider so I'm going to have warm cider with some rum or some sh*t in there later. holla.
WICKED classy!!
I just picked up the new Batman game (Arkham City)
I am starting Under the Dome
I get to see cuppinhor in a week
I am having lunch with a friend on Thursday and getting my hair highlighted after work!

I can already tell that the bad guy will kill me.
I'll kill him first. Douche.
Totally. Great sign of a character... I was ENRAGED by him. King sure can write 'em!

*My kids have made me really happy lately. They always make me happy, but the other night my boys were chasing each other up and down the hallway while my daughter watched from her room doing commentary like NASCAR.
*DH has always been very sweet and affectionate, but lately he has been even more so.... like taking the kids to school so I can sleep in. He has done that often, but lately it's been more of, 'NO. YOU sleep. I got this. I miss the kids during the day.'
*A friend of mine called me to tell me a mom from football was reading one of my books. She went up to her to tell her she's a friend of mind and the woman was almost in tears. They called me and the lady shrieked about how much she liked it. I sobbed for about twenty minutes after.
This must feel so good!
Older son is a national merit semifinalist. We are getting lots of letters in the mail offering huge scholarships if he becomes a finalist (which we are being assured will happen). It means so much. If he gets a huge scholarship, he gets to go where he wants as opposed to just what we can afford; and it gives a lot of leeway for ds2 when college comes for him. I am so happy for him.
It's fall; so pretty here; fifties today, clear skies, brisk wind; just lovely.
My two sons sang in a choir concert together last night, it was great.
