It's enough to pay off my lawyer, plus a little left over for savings.
I'm kinda struck dumb right now. I will be debt free.
This is my siggy.
Re: I sold my rings
I like the whole notion that your rings, purchased in contemplation of marriage, were of sufficient value to get you out of that marriage. It's all very karmic or something.
QFT
Be honest, were you mildly tempted to email/text the douche and say, " Happy Birthday Azzhole!' Guess what I did today?"
!!! Justice travels with a slow but steady foot. Or, the mills of the gods grind slowly but they grind exceeding fine.
I love that it was his bday.
Oh come on, throwing a ring into a river is awesome too.
FIST PUMP
This is awesome! Congrats!
Well, uh, the money set aside for this month's lawyer payment is now going to be spent at the outlet mall. Does that count?
You win!
COngrats, Bowies!!
A jeweler sold them on consignment. It was a win-win-win for everyone involved. I got a better price than if I had pawned them, the jeweler made a commission, and the buyer got a very nice wedding set for a much lower price than if he had purchased them brand-new.
Nice! How did you go about setting all of that up? I've never heard about that.
Ask around at local jewelers - a lot do this, but don't advertise it.
