Re: PG/Mom Check-In
I have my first ultrasound with my RE next Monday. Since the risk of ectopic pregnancies are higher with IVF, I'm nervous.
Other than nervously waiting, I'm feeling pretty good overall.

I'm feeling good. I think I may have felt my first movement "flutters" last week but I'm hesitant to say for sure. I have another checkup on Wednesday and then a week from Friday we'll FINALLY find out the gender. I have no idea how it is still so far away...the anticipation is driving me nuts. I'm clearly not good at patience.
Also, somebody mentioned Olive Garden salad & breadsticks this morning and now that's all I can think about. I guess I'll be paying the over-priced Times Square Olive Garden a visit sometime this week for lunch.

I'm doing well, but man does sleeping suck now! I'm so tired all the time, and I'm always ready for bed by about 8:30. But once I get to lay down, it's impossible to get comfortable or stay asleep for long. I guess this is the prep for the baby being here!
We went apple picking this weekend and being up on my feet for so long was hard too. I ended up with terrible RLP by the end of the day and into yesterday too. I love this little lady, but she's kicking my butt
Oh, and my glucose test is next week. Fingers crossed that I pass!
Try not to worry! The same thing happened to me, and everything was totally fine.
I wish I could come on more, but I have been living without internet the past 5 months!! I check in every now and then on my phone, but can't post from it
Congrats to all the pregnant ladies!!
Wow, has the time flown by! Charlotte is almost 6 months already. She's so independent it's scary.. And she's been working on her crawling day and night for weeks! She wakes up at random times in her crib just to practice and talk. She doesn't like to sleep much either
but it's slowly getting better. I've been lucky enough to stay home with her all this time and we're still EBF-ing which is going better than expected!
I put an updated picture in my siggy
A/S is THURSDAY! MrsMew, I know EXACTLY what you mean about waiting!!! The anticipation is KILLING me!!! I don't even know how I will make it til thurs!!! LOL. I am doing well. I am EXHAUSSSSTED, and sleeping s*cks BIGtime.
Me too! There were so many times I would just sit there and think about it and just feel too normal to be pregnant and start freaking out. The waiting between appts is always torture, every time. I know it's hard but try not to worry. Remind me, when is your appt?
I didn't have m/s and there were plenety of times I didn't feel pg. I definitely don't miss those days of that kind of worrying. GL at your appt, Jen!
Zoe got her first cold this weekend. It seems to be pretty mild. The worst of it was on Saturday when her nose was all crusty when she woke up and it was runny all day. I haven't had to give her anything, but today I bought a humidifier just in case. H said we don't need it and don't need anymore crap for her room.
Ugh. That is a whole other story. Still having problems with him. He is very slow to come around to things and it's frustrating when Zoe is constantly changing so fast. I got her to nap for at least an hour for most of the week last week and that all went to hell over the weekend. I worked Friday night and was sleeping on Saturday while he was watching her. He brought her into the bedroom so I could feed her around noon and then disappeared. Usually he comes back after a short time, but Zoe and I both fell asleep. I have no idea how long we slept, and I hate that I fell asleep with her in bed with me because she is so mobile these days. I don't fall asleep with her in bed anymore, but since H usually comes back and takes her I must've let my guard down. I know it's not 100% his fault, but if he wanted to do something he could've at least told me. Then I couldn't find him. He came back in the house about an hour later and I was pissed. Zoe was awake and I needed to sleep more. He has NO IDEA how hard it is to go on such little sleep. When I tell him this, he gets defensive, no matter which way I diplomatically put it. I am now sick and there is no way I am going to make it at work all night AND be up with her all day tomorrow. Of course I am going to get crap for calling out sick. He dotes on Zoe and takes really good care of her, but he is not very good with change. Never has been.
Well I'll check in I guess. My "baby" started sports last week, which I can barely believe. He is doing the Tri-Sports program at our local Y (3 weeks of soccer, 3 weeks of tee-ball, 3 weeks of football) and he really seemed to like it. But he's so big these days. 3 has been a very challenging year and right when I think its terrible, he's so sweet, and vice versa. I need a little baby again...if only it were that easy
my read shelf:
M & B are 18 months! Holy crap! They had their 18 month check up Friday. Mason weighs 27lbs 11oz and Brooke is 21lbs 1oz. Such different children inside and out!! They both got flu shots, but no other vaccines so that was nice.
Other than that, they keep me VERY busy!!!
We saw the heartbeat at my 7 week appointment. Dr. said everything looked good! Waiting to hear from my MFM about when my NT scan is scheduled. I see my regular OB on November 16, which seems so far away.
symptoms continue to be heartburn, fatigue, and nausea. oh, and the heightened sense of smell. I almost tossed my cookies changing Olivia's diaper the other day.
Olivia turned 2 this month. she's getting over a little cold right now, but other than that, is doing great. this weekend, she insisted on swinging on the big-girl swing and she nailed it, even trying to pump her legs. such a big girl!
Kennedy is doing good. We have a cardiology appointment on Wednesday. I know it should go well, with nothing to report, but lately it seems like nothing is going right for us, so I'm kind of nervous. I'm requesting a new Early Interventionist, things just aren't working out with ours. We also have a PT consult on November 1st. The only area she's really behind in is changing positions and being mobile on her own. Honestly, I don't mind much. It's nice to be able to leave her somewhere and know that she can't go more than a few inches. She's capable of rolling, but doesn't do it often.
I'm sick right now, and just praying that she doesn't get it. No one understands why I'm so worried. Apparently they missed the memo that she had heart surgery, and has a compromised immune system. Coupled with the fact that because she has Down syndrome her respiratory system is also compromised. Unfortunately, my family who chooses to come around us even though their sick, also doesn't seem to "get it." Honestly, I've just been a total *** since the miscarriage. I'm emotionally and physically exhausted and may kill the next person who tells me things happen for a reason, just keep trying, or at least you didn't have time to get attached. I go for an ultrasound this Friday to confirm that it was a complete miscarriage.
I thought that I felt a flutter or two about a week ago, and then last night I def felt something that felt like movement. I was really hesitant to say it was movement, but after last night I am pretty sure. I was reading to the baby when it happened. I can't wait to feel it again!!
I know what you mean with OG. Once I get a food in my head that I want I can think of nothing else! Enjoy!
My first u/s with Dr. T was funny- he was looking and not saying anything. Afterwards Dani told me that she was about to scream if he didn't hurry up and tell me what he was seeing! GL!!!!
Welcome Melissa
Congrats! Who is your doctor currently? and who was your RE?
Yeah, and just hope that when you do get to go they can actually tell you for sure!! I went at 16 weeks and the tech said 95% girl. We went back at 18 weeks and the tech said she wouldn't tell us either way since she wasn't 100% sure!
I'm so sorry you've had a rough week. Sending T&P's that Kennedy stays healthy and that the u/s goes OK on Friday (and that you don't need to have any additional procedures) (((hugs)))

I went for my quad screen and tsh b/w on Thursday, so I am waiting for those results. I also went to my ob last week for my 4 week check-up. I will be going for yet another u/s in a week and a half. I have gained 12 pounds already!!
I posted this below:
My BP was still high so they sent me to St. Joe's for monitoring. After about two hours, it went down. So they sent me home. They think it's more stress related, since I have no protein in my urine and all bloodwork looks good. I'm officially on bedrest til I deliver.
NST went really well. She said "It looks textbook good". I also got a sonogram which was a nice surprise and she so cute!
Ultrasound tech thinks Chloe is weighing around 8.5 pounds already. YIKES!
My OB is not a fan of induction, so just resting and waiting... Ugh, I hate waiting
Thank you! My Gyn is Dr Weinstock at Women's Care of FL, but she doesn't do OB so I'm still in the "meeting all the OBs at the practice" phase. I've met 4 of the 6 OBs, I'll meet #5 at my next appt 11/7. I went to RMG as well, My Dr was Dr Goodman. Did you go there as well? I really like the practice and all the Drs/hurses I have met over the years. I had previously went to a different RE and it was a horrible experience!
Nice "meeting" you.
Sorry you're on bedrest
At least you have a laptop to keep you busy
Were you working still?
Yep, I went to Dr. Tarantino at the office near USF. I loved it there as well and wish that they did deliveries!
I have to admit, the reason I asked about your dr. was cause you sounded like you might be a friend of mine and I was trying to find out without asking LoL
Nice to meet you too
I'm well and the girls are well. I can't post much more because I am only allowed on my Mom's computer for 30 minutes a day. I haven't lost any pregnancy weight. I am frustrated with myself and I think I may be getting depressed because of my weight.
The girls are lifting themselves up on their arms. They are babbling and mostly sleeping through the night!
I haven't posted in a while, but I thought I would check-in. MacKenzie is doing fabulously and is now 18 months. She is talking all the time and her favorite phrase right now is "No, Mommy!" She makes me laugh all the time. I love when she spouts out with random things like "Hey guys!" and "Cool!" You never realize how you talk until your little girl starts mimicking you.
She also is such a girlie girl! She loves purses, bracelets, and dress-up close. She will often run around the house in her tutu, with mardi gras beads, braceletes, and slippers (with no top on!)
I am so in love with her and we are hoping to be adding to our family soon. My H and I have been trying for seven months now and unfortunately nothing yet. I have been charting for the past seven months and will be stopping this cycle as a break. If I am supposed to get pregnant, then we will. If not, it's not our time yet (which is very hard to admit...).
