Skyler is such a terrible name, especially for a boy.
Re: I love Rachel Zoe, but
LOL cruise the Baby Name board on TB and you will some names that make you want to tear your eyes out with shrimp forks. I always wonder if parents consider the fact that these babies will grow up into adults that need to be taken seriously on an application for employment.
I don't know about Skyler, but it does make me think of that South Park episode with Timmy & Lords of The Underworld. The lead singer is the cliche and his name is Skyler. lol
I don't have a problem with the name. Its not my style and I wouldn't use it for a boy (or a girl really).
This one is actually pretty interesting.

Cliff Notes:
"Skyler is an anglicised form of the Dutch surname Schuyler. It has been in the US top 1000 boys' names since the beginning of the 1980s. The origins of this name are ultimately Dutch but Skyler is not used in the Netherlands."
There's a trash bag commercial with a fake newscast, and one of the kids is like 'thanks for the report, skyler.' Every time it's on my skin crawls.
And yeah, if I ever need a giggle, there's almost always a horrificly awesome baby name on the front page of Baby Names on TB.
