First off, so happy to see Zachary Quinto. Love him!
This episode wasn't so scary, but I feel like we got a lot of progress with the story.
Poor Addy! Does this mean she won't come back as a ghost, since she didn't die on the property?
So Tate is definitely a ghost. I loves his awe at all the different coffee flavors. I don't think he's the real rubber man though.
Ben is the worst therapist ever.
The baby parts in the jars was really creepy.
I want to know what was on the ultrasound!
I will be so pissed off if DirectTV gets rid of FX next week and I can't watch part 2!
Re: American Horror Story 10/26 *Spoilers*
How do you think the real estate agent is involved with all of this? Is she a ghost? She sent the gay couple right? Or do you think that was a coincidence? Why do some of these characters seem so desperate for money? I'm still trying to figure these things out.
I still wonder if Addie might have an identical twin who is a ghost. I think sometimes we see the real Addie and sometimes the ghost. Notice the girl under the bed in this episode wasn't afraid of mirrors but previously the Addie that couldn't even get out of the closet was terrified of mirrors.
I also think that Tate might be the rubber man and might be the child who was 'lost to other things" Originally I thought Constance might be trying to set him free from the house but she didn't seem to want to have Addie be set free... puzzling.
Interesting point about Addy and the mirrors!
I think Charles is the rubber man.

I loved last nights episode!
I still don't quite understand Charles (is he even real or just a version of sleazy hot dad? ), the rubber suit man, Constance's boyfriend (whats his significance)
Sometimes I think too much about things, like how can sleazy hot dad be making any money as a psychiatrist if Tates a ghost? Why are they so concerned about money but hire fluffers and maids?
I still feel so bad for Moira.
I agree that it's questionable that the gay couple were killed by a ghost, as opposed to someone just dressed up. That was an awful physical and violent death for a ghost.
I loved how the gay couple are clearly very annoyed at being stuck together in the afterlife lol Didn't it seem like they were sent there to sabotage the marriage though? Giving her pointers on how to catch Ben cheating?
Violet being able to hear/see the burned man messed up my theory of him being Ben's imagination.
Finally, I don't know if I can keep watching this when it airs. I'm having a hard time falling asleep afterward
I loved this weeks episode. The addition of the ghosts being able to walk among the living on Halloween was awesome for ruining ideas that people were throwing around.
I felt so bad for Moira again this week. Poor lady can't catch a break.
Do you think Violet is missing or just went out on her date with Tate? The alarm was blaring and I can't imagine she'd leave the house like that.
Not looking forward to seeing Hayden some more.
I hope I get to watch next week since we have Direct tv.
I would have the same problem so I DVR the episodes and watch it the next morning.
I think the ghosts are deliberately sabotaging the marriage of Ben and Vivien in order to try to save them. If the marriage crumbles, they certainly will leave the house / move out / sell.
Updated September 2012.
I felt so bad for the maid (sorry don't know all the characters names yet) when her mother died and said said come with me. She had so much pain in her voice when she responded I can't. I think she wants out but the house doesn't let her.
I missed the first 20 mins (damn traffic!!!) so missed the whole mirror thing. I sooooo wanted to see what the nurse saw in the monitor....could it be a deformed baby???
I feel for Abby. Her mother is so fukked up in the head...why would you tell your kid that she is not pretty and can never be. Way to maker feel better.
So Constance was the first abortion patient right?
I loved last night's episode and I find myself more & more excited for each new episode.
I think the real estate agent is real...we never saw closing on the home, but don't you think she would have to show up? I think the house is targeting the fears of the individuals in the house. Like Moira, constantly coming on to Ben and the marriage and cheating issues that Viven and Ben are dealing with. They issues were brought up by the gay couple to get Viven doubting herself.
I am not sure who the rubber man is, no clue, but I do not think it is Tate. I think Tate is the baby of the first owners of the house that was chopped up into pieces, as revealed on last night's episode. I don't know if anyone else noticed this, but I had to rewind it to look. When Tate was sitting with Ben having coffee, he reached out to hand Ben his coffee and Tate's wrist and a scar showing from underneath his sleeve. Remember the scene when the crazed father/doctor was sewing the baby back together, he had sewn his hand to his arm?
That's a good point. Although, it was also poignant for her to die that way because she had the recurring nightmare of being snapped in half.
And VERY interesting theory about Tate being the original missing baby. It does seem kind of obvious that he is Constance's son, so that would make a great twist!
I still think Tate is Constance's son. Based on his attire and resemblance to Kurt Cobain, I assume he died in the early 90s. I'm still waiting to see his story in the beginning of one of the next episodes. I don't think he's the Rubber Man, though, and I'm not actually sure if that's it's own separate entity or if one of the other characters is dressed in the suit.
Not sure how the realtor fits in. She's alive but she has to know far more than what she's saying.
Also, I think the son of the first owners is actually that demented baby/creature that was used in the first episode to scare the mean girl from Violet's school. Tate said that in the process of "rebuilding" the baby, something went horribly wrong and I assumed that was the end result.
No, the first abortion patient came back as a ghost looking the same age as when she went for the abortion. She was the woman 'touring' the house who got freaked out by all the modern appliances in the kitchen.
I remember he talked about cutting himself in one of his early appearances. I'm pretty sure he told it to Violet.
Are you sure that wasn't the wife of Charles who was "touring" the house?
I am 100% sure it was the doctor's wife that toured the house.
Agreed - it was the doctor's wife that toured the house. Random question - was one of the EMT's Harry Shum Jr. who plays Mike Chang on Glee?
and.... since when has a stager been called a fluffer. I think that's why the gay guys got that smirk when the couple kept saying fluffer.
As did I, because I am 12, lol.
And I just rewatched, the EMT is not Mike Chang

I know! He looked like Prinicpal Wood (D.B. Woodside) from Buffy/Vampire Slayer.
In response to other posts:
I don't think it's Tate in the latex. I think it may be yet another death; we just haven't seen that particular decade yet. Possibly someone who died in an S&M accident. LOL.
Found it interesting that they kept stating the 'dead and living walk amongst each other on Halloween'...leading to more confusion of who exactly is a ghost.
I am also 100% sure that it was Charles' wife who came to tour the house.
I felt bad for Moira, yet again this ep.
I am dying to know what was on the ultrasound.
I think it was the baby that was kidnapped. Everyone who has lived there and dies seems to come back. That baby was returned and then the doctor began sewing limbs onto the baby. I think Viv is pregnant with the baby and it is the doc's "creation" with animal limbs inside her, and thats why the nurse fainted and why viv felt all the "kicking" and movement.
And I assume they didn't see it.

Here is a cool story on ew.com talking about the latest episode, plus a few "hints" and what's to come.

The baby creation is definitely the thing that killed "The Twins". If you look, it's a creature with dismembered body parts that killed them, and it was also in the time frame where there were jars with random body parts and animals in the basement.
Addy doesn't like the way she looks obviously, since she wants to be a "pretty girl" for Halloween that means she thinks that she's ugly, and with the way her mom acts I can see why. So forcing her to stare at herself in a room of mirrors is mean, but when she was looking at her reflection in Violet's room Violet was "making her pretty" so she got to admire how she looked with makeup and didn't see her "ugly self" looking back at her.
I'm so sad that Addy is dead, she was the best character and truly helpful.
I have no idea who the plastic man is, I do not think it's Tate. That was clearly to throw us off.
The person touring the house was definitely Nora, the wife of the doctor (and the first residents, who built the house). She was also seen at the end of the episode touching the mother's pregnant belly while she was sleeping. I'm wondering if it's just because she misses her child, or maybe because her husband was in the trade of giving abortions.
I think that the gay "fluffers" coming to the house was not an accident. The Real Estate agent offered them by making them sound like the best candidate (good and cheaper), if they were not the "fluffers" then there should have been another gay guy helping them get the house ready.
One thing no one mentioned. Did anyone find it fricken hilarious when the dad just slammed the door in his zombie mistresses face? Just you know, like it was second nature to see her as a zombie now.
