Oh HELL no!
Do NOT mess with me today! Just flipped sh!t at CVS and can't wait to call corporate on their asses. Went to exchange a buy 1 get 1 50% off eyeliner for another color (same eyeliner) and they wouldn't honor it. Rude fat dude explained that the computer didn't read it right so I would have to pay extra, even though it was still on sale. Told him the policy was wrong and stupid and he was like yeah well, sorry. Told him he should be and he laughed at me--fat guy did what?!
I flipped out asking if he was laughing at me and he ignored me so I asked lounder until he answered and apologized but still laughed. Then I got his name and store number. Asked for his last name but he wouldn't give it so I told him I'd just tell corporate the fat guy named John with no manners was the one I was reporting for failure to honor a sale price upon exchange and for laughing at a customer.
As I left I shouted, "Oh, and a word to the wise, never FVCK with a lawyer!" (especially one on her period...I left that part out though)
ETA: I failed to mention that he got all up in my face...I was venting and left that part out. Perhaps I should have just said the rude guy with the stupid goatee, but it wasn't as prominent as his "tough guy" demeanor. People don't use their facial hair to intimidate people as often as their build.

EXACTLY! He could have overrided it for the sale price after the return and given me the 50% off price. Instead he wanted to be an assshole...so now I'm going to as well.

Agreed. Sorry, this wasn't supposed to be an overweight bashing post. As I explained above, it was only due to the fact that he tried to intimidate me with his size that I even mentioned his weight.

I probably would have too. Did you ask to speak to a manager? Sometimes the cashiers don't have access to override something in the register. Seems like an easy problem to solve.
Or you could be accountable for the fact that you were seriously over reacting instead of being justifiably angry over your mistreatment you got super tacky and went after his personal appearance and threw out the "don't f with a lawyer" crap. People would then be supportive of you.

Yes, he was the manager. I know they can solve it, I've had something like this happen at CVS in the past without any problems. There was nothing crazy about expecting to have a price honored. Did I go nuts after he laughed at me, sure, but there was no reason to laugh at me in the first place...
