New and introducing myself
Hey y'all! I just got married to my sailor in San Diego this past April. I have an 11 yr old son from a previous relationship. I currently live in Texas and my DH just sent for me and my DS to join him in Japan. I am super excited and I have never been that far from home. Our journey begins Dec 1st. We are so ready for this journey. We got married in April and he left for Japan in May. It's sad, but I am happy we are finally getting to live the married life together! I can't wait to meet everyone!!!!

Hi. There's a thread a little ways down (Hey Lurkers) with a bunch of intros and info on people. DH is AD Army, we have a 2yo daughter- Bean- and two dogs- BeeBee and Widget. K's been in the Army just over four years, we've been married some 19 Kardashians, annnd..... my mom recently saw my new dining room chairs and called them "modern", her way of saying "horrendous".
I'm jealous of your going to Japan. I am le tired of NC and wish they'd make K PCS already.
She is not saying that it is a violation, she is just implying that it is not the safest thing to be announcing on the internet that you currently live in X state, and are leave X date for X county. That's all.

2. No one knows where in Tx I'm flying out of
3. No one knows where in Japan I'm going
4. No one knows if I'm flying MAC or Commercial
5. There are plenty plane changes
6. Even if I did give all that info, I'm not discussing ship movements... When you start saying things like, Oh my DH is coming home on Jan 5th, 1999, from the USS Navy Ship... that is a violation. Or saying when your DH is hitting a port, or when he is leaving a port....
I think Ojo was referring to PERSEC moreso than OPSEC.
That's why she asked if you were familiar with OPSEC and PERSEC, not just OPSEC.

No one was "not so nice" to you; in fact, people are trying to help you out by telling you to just keep it as vague as possible to keep a safe as possible. The internet is full of creepers as I'm sure you know.

Also, why do you need to have a ticker or why your ticker says Japan? I didn't extract that information out of your walls of text.
