Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

Elfster Ornament Exchange!
So, it sounds like a lot of people were interested in participating in an ornament gift exchange!!! I will set up an account on Elfster and get the exchange set up. If you want to participate, send me a PM with your email address and I will invite you. I'm going to set the "sign-up deadline" for November 18th (Friday, next week), so that we can draw names and have enough time to get the ornaments mailed out.
Once you sign up for Elfster and get matched, you can ask anonymously ask your "secret santa" questions. I would suggest sharing your addresses that way. I don't remember how it was organized last year, but this would be my suggestion.
So, let me know if you want to participate and we will get this Ornament Exchange started!
ETA: This is totally separate from the GTG! We will mail eachother ornaments so that everyone who wants to can participate!

Is this seperate from the gtg? Just want to make sure since I'm not 100% on the gtg but I can mail an ornament.
Yes! This will be completely separate from the GTG. People will mail their ornaments to eachother, which allows the girls from Texas (and anyone who is not able to come to the GTG) to participate!
The GTG will either be a white elephant or a cookie exchange, it sounds like!
So I encourage people to do both!!!!!!!!!!!

You should still participate! Can't you make a list in Elfster for your Elf? You can just say you don't have a tree so they get something other than an ornament.
You could still get an ornament & one day when you get a tree, you'll already have a special ornament for it! We threw ours out last year, it was getting crappy, but I've told DH I don't want to get one this year, just not enough room in our condo & w/DS at 18 months, he'll be touch everything (even if we put something around the tree). But I'd love to get an ornament & when we get one in the next few years, it'll be fun to put up.
If it helps, last year I remember entering my address on the site and somehow only my secret santa could see it. I also remember entering info. in my wishlist section (or something like that) that said more about my interests, tree decor,etc.
That made it pretty easy because my SS could see everything on my page and not have to get info. out of me while trying not to reveal them self.
