s/o Thanksgiving

I am bringing cheesecake to DH's aunts house for Tday dinner.  I can't decide what kind to make.  So, what is your favorite cheesecake?

ETA: there will already be pumpkin, chocolate, apple and custard pies along with a birthday cake.

Re: s/o Thanksgiving

  • Chocolate swirl or turtle. Or just chocolate. I love cheesecake in all forms.

  • Uh yeah I can't pick a favorite cheesecake. I love them all. I like the pumpkin cheesecake idea, but it might be overload if they already have a pumpkin pie. I also love classic w/ a strawberry or raspberry sauce. YUM !

  • I am not a big coffee drinker, but I always really like a good coffee / mocha cheesecake.
  • Any of the above ideas...my personal fave is good old NY style cheesecake with cherry topping.  YUM.

Didn't Lisa just make some type of apple crumble cheesecake?  Care to share the recipe, Lisa?  That sounded really good!

  • Pumpkin!!!!!  Or maybe caramel or peanut butter or something.

BIL (my sister's H) is horribly allergic to caffeine and therefore can't have chocolate and he doesn't like pumpkin pie so every year his mom makes a cheesecake and brings it to my mom's house for T-day dessert.  :)

LOL why yes I did make apple streusel cheesecake for Brenna's party! Everyone loved it which I was happy about. That is delicious, also Danie's pumpkin cheesecake recipe from Paula Deen is awesome too, I as well do not like pumpkin pie but that recipe is delicious! I also make a cappuccino cheesecake which was feature on TBS Dinner and a Movie. I have it in a word doc at home if you'd like the apple streusel or cappuccino recipes!

  • I always make pumpkin cheesecake for Thanksgiving, but probably wouldn't if there was pumpkin pie. For Christmas every year I make this awesome Irish cream/chocolate cheesecake (with Bailey's... yummm).  I got the recipe from allrecipes, here's the link.

I usually double the amount of Bailey's... it is so good and I always get compliments on it.

  • I always love a good plain cheesecake with strawberry topping on the side so I can douse it!
