Re: PG/Mom Check-In
I had these scratch off cards made on Etsy for VIP family members to announce the pregnancy. I asked DH which of his family he wanted me to send them to. I ended up needing 15. I sent them all out, now ILs said I need to send more. Grr. Now I have to order more. Granted, I got them very quickly from the seller, but still.
Heather - Hope you're doing okay, I've been thinking about you.
What a cute idea! No tips on de-shrinking jeans. I would just go get a belly band from Target.
Tomorrow is the big day, crossing my fingers that baby will cooperate. Belly bump is getting bigger and rounder. The past 3 1/2 months I lost about 4-6lbs due to morning sickness but I have finally gained some lbs back. I was getting a bit worried that at this stage according to my book that I should have gain steady 5-10lbs already, well so far the 4-5 lbs had been added back.
I found work pants that would match my current uniform now im hunting for white button up shirt to replace my uniform, so far I'm out of luck. Any suggestions ladies? I have been to all the maternity stored in Brandon and the Destination Maternity at intl mall. Any online site?
GL tomorrow, Junie!! My vote is boy
Hope you're doing ok, Heather. I've been thinking about you a lot.
It's official, DH and I are moving (again). I'm accepting a new job offer in Chicago and have to move back into the city by December 1. So I will be starting a new job and moving to a new apartment at 32 weeks pregnant. I'm freaked out to say the least. We haven't started packing anything yet, but we have boxes and packing tape, so I'm hoping to get the nursery mostly done while I'm off today. We applied for an apartment and are going to meet with the landlord tonight. Hopefully she likes us and we can sign a lease tonight! I think I'll feel a lot better once I know that we have a place to bring our baby home to.
I have an appointment today to see if my blood pressure has gone down in the past 2 weeks. I'm not convinced that it has, but I'm trying really hard to stay calm.
Heather, how are you doing? I've been thinking about you.
Good luck tomorrow, Junie!
Roses, I'm sorry you're having to deal with the stress of moving again. As a frequent mover myself, I can sympathize. We're actually talking about a possible move next summer - at least the baby will be born by then, but sheesh. I'd like to stay put somewhere for a while.
Not much new over here. Baby girl is still moving like crazy and I'm dying for my H to be able to feel it, but no luck yet. As soon as he puts his hand on my belly, she settles down. I hope that continues after she's born, ha!
We also may have decided on a name! That's big, but since we are taking a firm "no telling the name until she's born" position, I'm just being a big tease by even mentioning it.

I don't really have any new news except that my nausea seems to be slightly subsiding especially in the mornings. So that's a relief for now.
I'm in week 11 right now, and I have my 12 week appt. next Monday so more updates then. H won't be coming with me which we are both kind of bummed about because he really wants to be at every appt (especially to drive me home because I tend to be lightheaded after giving blood.. yeah I'm a wimp), but he has a job interview like 30 minutes before my appt. so that is kind of taking priority because it could be a really good job for him with less hours! I definitely want him around more.
So I will be goign solo to this one.
Heather how are you? Thinking of you lots.
Whelp, boy, I guess I'm next!
I'm getting very uncomfortable. Round ligament pain is no joke and I'm ready to be done with work. Everybody is surprised I made it this long but up until now it hasn't really been that bad and I tell them, when I'm done I will know. Well now I know. I'm going to work one more night on Saturday and hopefully get lots of sympathy tips
Then I don't know what I will do with myself for the next 5-6 weeks. Gain more weight I suppose...
Baby's head is still firmly planted under my ribs. I saw a chiro Thurs and she did the Webster technique on me and today is my follow up. This was my first chiro adjustment and while I don't plan on becoming a regular, this Dr (Dr Patricia Snair...yay!!!) came recommended and she is so amazing,. If anyone needs the Webster technique, you must see her! Baby hasn't flipped yet but it feels like she's trying to kick her way out so I know she's on her way down.
im getting really good at doing things with one hand... this baby is only happy either on my boob or swaddled and held lol... sleeping is a whole other issue- i know he is only 2 weeks but i might go crazy if something doesnt change soon!
its all worth it when i look at his sweet face though... here are some of the pro pics from the hospital
OMG I cannot even stand the cuteness!!!!!! He is so handsome! Glad things are going well.
Junie--don't fret about the weight issue. I lost 20 pounds in the first trimester due to Hyperemesis. I have put on about 6 or 7 pounds since entering the 2nd tri, so I am slowly making up for it! I hope everything goes well tomorrow and that baby shows the goods! I am voting girl!
Shawna-- I am glad your MS seems to be getting better!!! Ugh, the first 16 weeks were a mess for me. I lost 20 pounds and threw up all.day.long. I could barely function. I put new meaning to the nurses office at my school lol. I threw up in that bathroom more times than I can count.
Megan--NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, you cannot hold out on me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL. Congrats on picking a name!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Junie, good luck tomorrow!
Heather, how are you feeling?
DD1 turns 2 today! We had her Dr Seuss themed party last Saturday. We also did DD2's christening, so it was a busy day for us. We gave DD1 her first piece of cake at her party and she loved it! Last week, she also got to watch her 1st movie which was the Jungle Book. So turning 2 has given her some privileges. DD 2 is doing okay with solids... so far, she's tried sweet potatoes, bananas, broccoli and cauliflower.
This past week Maisy got her first two teeth and began really clapping her hands (as opposed to just swinging her arms together). It is so cute how proud of herself she is of clapping.
I think Maisy is determined to skip crawling. She loves standing and has been cruising around both her pack n play and the coffee table for a couple weeks now, but has lost all interest in crawling. She was crawling a few steps here and there just to get to something if she really wanted it, but now when placed on her stomach or on her hands and knees, she immeditely rolls over into a sitting postion, and if anything or person is close enough, she is pulling up and on her feet. While I know some babies go right to walking, I'm really trying to encourage crawling because I know it is important developmentally. She has a pedi appt tomorrow, and I'm going to talk to her about it.
Thanks for the thoughts. I m/c yesterday morning and have an appointment with my RE tomorrow to make sure that it was a full miscarriage. If it was, then we will talk about when I can start up with a frozen cycle, if not, we'll talk about what we need to do to "reset" my body. It was a rough weekend, but I'm in a much better place, emotionally speaking, than I was on Thursday/Friday.

I am doing pretty good. I'm 29 weeks along and have almost nothing done yet! I'm not panicking just yet, but I will definitely feel better when we have more of the room set up. Saturday we have an all day Prepared Childbirth crash course to look forward to
Aegis - Can you please add me? EDD 01/28/12 & Team Green. Thanks!

I think a lunch date with Kennedy and I would be appropriate!
I'm glad that you're doing a little better, and I hope that your US goes well tomorrow. Please KUP, and let us know if you need anything.
Kaley - He is SO cute! I hope that you start getting more sleep soon.
As for us, I still hate daylight savings time. Kennedy goes to bed at 6pm and she's up at 5am. Getting up at 5am is killing me. I told her this morning, "You're going to snuggle your mommy whether you want to or not..." Of course, about 15 minutes of snuggles was all she'd give me. PT and EI are still a challenge. I think our EI is smoking something. She wants Kennedy to be using a fork (to feed herself.) Kennedy would much rather smash pancakes in her mouth. Otherwise, she's doing really well. I can't believe she's going to be 9 months old this week.
Have you tried the rubber band trick? I was able to wear my regular jeans much longer and never had to buy a belly band.
I can't believe how fast this baby is growing! Charlotte's been crawling for over a week now and a few nights ago I caught her standing in her crib on the monitor! It freaked me out since we hadn't lowered the crib yet. Ever since then she hasn't been sleeping well at all. I mean she's up every 3 hours and when 2am rolls around, it's party time! She won't go back to sleep till 5. Ugh I'm hoping this ends soon..
During the day everything is great. We bought the baby bullet recently (love it btw!) and so far carrots seem to be her favorite.
I bought a blood pressure monitor and it's been in the normal range, thank goodness. My rash is getting a lot better.
Chloe is great! The first few nights were rough. She doesn't like the bassinet so we are sticking to a PnP. Last night, she slept 4 hour stretches. It was awesome. During the day she pretty much just sleeps, poops, eats.
I know it's gas, but she gives the best smiles. Makes me giddy.
Oh my! He is so precious! We will definitely have to get our kiddos together
This sounds exactly like what the Dr ordered
I have managed to find a shred of energy to check the nest today, LOL. Between the tiredness and the MS I don't have much of a desire to surf the internet. But I am not complaining at all. I will GLADLY put up with exhaustion of the first tri if that means I get a take home baby.....
But on the flip side I am still thinking this pregnancy isn't it. My spotting won't stop and this weekend I started experiencing strong cramps. Plus I am nervous about the baby measuring small at my US. According to their estimate I got my BFP at 6 DPO which is highly unlikely. I never imagined that pregnancy could be this nerve wracking.
I guess all I can do is wait and see.
Baby Macy is here!
12/09 - Macy (daughter) | 4/10 - Began TTC Baby #2 | 12/10 - Chemical Pregnancy | 1/12 - Miscarriage at 14 weeks | DX - PCOS & Hyperthyroidism
I hope this is your take home baby! FWIW, when I had my first U/S I measured 3 days behind where I thought I should be. The doctor said it's completely normal to be off even 4 or 5 days from what your charting shows, so anything is possible. When is your next appointment??
I have a strong feeling this is your take home baby and will continue to pray that it stays that way. When I got my BFP I have no idea when I could have conceived since I have PCOS and didnt have a period for two cycles. When I went to my first appointment I couldnt even tell the doctor when my last period was and if we go by it, it would mean Im like 2 months pregnant which is definitely not the case. So its definitely nerve wracking when there are some uncertainty. Just stay positive and enjoy the morning sickness (as hard as that sounds heheh) for now.
Not much to update, but MacKenzie has been bursting with words as of late. It's amazing when she just blurts something out of no where! Her (and our favorites) are "What's that?" "I don't know" and "Oh, so cute!" She is also so smart! She is becoming a wise at puzzles and we even broke out the game memory yesterday. We put them face up and she could find the matches! It's truly amazing!
We got our family Christmas pictures this weekend and I am beyond happy with them. Here are some of my favorites:
