Once Upon a Time *spoilers*
Loved this episode! What do you think Rumplestillsken/ Mr. Gold is going to want from Emma? And will he really leave Cinderella alone?

Re: Once Upon a Time *spoilers*
I wonder if he will ultimately want Henry?
He might want Henry. I mean he should know who Emma is, right? He's the only one that I think is not affected by the curse.

Does anyone else think Ruby the waitress is Red Riding Hood?
Edit: One of my friends pointed out that this was already known... what episode did they show her? I'm thinking that I missed something/wasn't paying too much attention.
Priss28King is wise.--"Lurky, you are so mean... but always so on point!"
Great episode!! I wondered how rumplestilskin got in prison.
I wonder what he'll want from Emma? I wonder why Henry doesn't know who Mr. Gold is? He (Henry) seemed a really weird look on his face when he walked into Mary Margaret's house and saw Mr. Gold.
It seems "Ella" got her happy ending back in this world.
So sad that graham is knocking boots with Regina. I wonder if regina is behind his job offer to Emma? I really want to like him and I'm dying to find "who" he is.
James said something interesting while they were in the mine; he said rumplestilskin was the most dangerous in all realms. I guess the different fairy tales were considered separate realms, almost like towns I guess.
Because Emma is going to pay the price for her. I wonder if they'll set her up to be a Harry Potter type of character, sacrificing parts of herself (motherhood, freedoms, etc) to save the town as a whole.
PP- Ruby was shown as Red in the first episode. I don't know if they showed her in fairy tale world, but they showed Granny. In the same episode they showed Ruby fighting with her and calling her Granny.
Speaking of Ruby, I thought her lucky wolf figurine was interesting. Why is it lucky? In her story, the big, bad wolf is anything but lucky. Maybe she's knocking boots with the modern version of the wolf and he gave it to her as a gift?
Also wondering about what got Thomas at the well. I would assume it's his father's fairy tale counterpart, but my DVR skipped a few minutes in the middle of the show so I might have missed something on his fairy tale father.
Good episode. I think others have been better, but I liked it overall.
Another thing about rumplestilskin. He constantly says everything has a price. I wonder what he paid to be so powerful? Does it have anything to do with wanting babies so badly?
I love this show. I am so bummed it isn't on again until the 27th. It is the only good thing about the weekend coming to an end.

I'm so mad about Graham sleeping with Regina- I thought him and Emma had a pretty nice connection. Do you think Regina is setting up Emmas for something else with her chatter about creating roots?
I think Henry doesn't know who Rumpelstilsken (spelling?) because in the Grimm story he doesn't reveal himself until the end of the story. In the fairy tale he tells the future princess her baby will be saved if he could to him his name. After being overheard singing his name in a song, she figures it out aad gets to keep her baby.
I love this show and I'm bummed we need to wait two weeks for a new episode.

To PP:
Yes, Ruby is Red Riding Hood. It's pretty obvious.
The Prince (Cinderella's) father is NOT Snow White's husband. IF you remember correctly the father was also shown in the real life part when Emma went to his home.
Henry definitely doesn't know who Rumpelstilsken is yet. I can't figure out what he may want from Emma. I definitely think the mayor and the sheriff are plotting something on Emma. Not sure what though.
my read shelf:
i think the first episode, when emma went to the B&B for a room. ruby was there, since gran runs it, and she lives with her

realms are the same as kingdoms. so rumplestiltskin was basically the most dangerous out there PERIOD.

Im almost positive Grahm is the Hunstman. In the true Snow White story, the Hunstman is hired by the Evil Queen, but then he can't kill Snow White and he ends up helping her. I bet Grahm and Emma are going to end up getting together and it's going to majorly piss Regina off.
Does anyone remember what Rumple does with all the babies he deals for?
Snow White's husband (James) and Cinderella's husband (Thomas) are brothers, that's why they are both Prince Charming. Their father is the one they said, "Hi, Father" to, and the one who was all jerky when Emma visited the house in the modern-day world. It was confusing, though, I had to take the DVR back because it did seem like one of them said, "Hi Father" to the other at first.
In the pilot episode you see Ruby in a red hooded cloak and she says, "Bye Grandma" or whatever, so you figure out pretty quickly that she is Little Red Riding Hood.
This episode firmed my belief Graham is the huntsman--he seems torn between a loyalty to the Evil Queen/Regina and Snow White's offspring (Emma).
I was disappointed they stuck Rumpelstiltskin with Cinderella but I guess it makes for a more interesting back-story and helps tie some things together. I'm also curious what he's going to want from Emma.
Okay, I have a few plot questions.
1) If Snow's husband has been in the same state of unconsciousness for all these years, why is it that Ella/Ashley just randomly and recently got pregnant? If she was pregnant or had the baby prior to the curse, shouldn't that have been established when they were taken over to the "new" life? It's like her character got to go back in time and rewrite.
2) If no one can leave Storybrook, as Henry says, why couldn't he leave? I mean, he claimed it was because he was 10 he had to go back, but realistically, if no one can leave, who would come after him?
3) If Emma is in her twenties in the show, that would mean 20-some odd years have passed since the curse was enacted. Again, it seems they don't age...but Henry did.
4) Where are all the other kids around town, lol? Henry supposedly goes to school and Snow is a teacher, but whose kids are these?
I believe that Henry ages because he is an outsider - not a real storybook character.
And I think that they were frozen in time (with the clock being frozen) and only recently unfroze when Emma came to town (the clock started working). Which fits with Cinderella. She was pregnant in her flashbacks and I assume she was just very pregnant when the curse happened. So she was essentially frozen at 9 months pregnant for 27 years (poor girl). So now that Emma is in town and time started again, her she went into labor.
No clue where the other kids are. They showed them in the first episode when they showed us Snow White in her classroom.
The actor is Irish. I don't think he's trying to cover it up? I haven't noticed it going in and out or anything.
Snow gives birth to Emma just before the curse takes over. Emma is transported (via some magical wardrobe) out of the fantasy world moments before the curse arrives. So Emma (and Henry) are not "under" the curse.
It appears Cinderella was still pregnant when the curse hit.

Very good point. I wonder how they will explain that. Snow is definitely pregnant after Ella. The jail cell that Snow visits Rumpel in (when she wants information on averting the spell cast on her during the wedding) is the one that was constructed previously to keep him from Ella's baby. Right? And Snow is pregnant at that time.
Well she wasn't visably pregnant but that was at the wedding so Cinderella wasn't pregnant then either. And we have no idea how much time went by between the wedding and the scene where Cinderella tells her prince she is pregnant. So Snow could have either been early stages of prenancy at the wedding or got pregnant before Ella.
DH pointed out that it is supposed to be the wardrobe from the Narnia books. Could be, although that is not a traditional fairytale.
Dude, being nine months pg for 20-ish years would be curse enough lol
Right but the timeline could still fit. Ella tricks Rumpel and he is caged in. Ella at the time was maybe 6 months pregnant? It must be 6-8 or so becasue after they got Rumpel she had some stomach pains and the prince said "its too early!"
So say a month goes by (I don't think they said how long so this is variable) and that is when Snow visits Rumpel in the cage. At that time Snow was 9 months or close to 9 months, so based on the above timeline / guess about Ella, she would have still been 7-9 months pregnant herself.
So my guess is that Snow and Ella were pregnant very close together with Snow being a few weeks ahead.
The main thing I didn't get in this episode was that Cinderella's prince disappears by the well and I thought we weren't supposed to know what happens to him, but then he appears in the real world and Cinderella knows exactly who he is and that he's the baby's father.
"Prince" and "Cinderella," though they have different names still know each other and are in love? Yet Snow White and her Prince have no idea who each other are and that they are in love? I don't get that, what am I missing? Are we just supposed to believe that the curse affects everyone differently?
