The main thing I didn't get in this episode was that Cinderella's prince disappears by the well and I thought we weren't supposed to know what happens to him, but then he appears in the real world and Cinderella knows exactly who he is and that he's the baby's father.

"Prince" and "Cinderella," though they have different names still know each other and are in love? Yet Snow White and her Prince have no idea who each other are and that they are in love? I don't get that, what am I missing? Are we just supposed to believe that the curse affects everyone differently?

Yeah it is strange... Ruby also still knows her Granny is her Granny. And Cinderella's prince knows who his father is. So, I think the curse doesn't necessarily wipe their memory of EVERYTHING, it just prevents them from being happy. In Snow's case, keeping her apart from her love is what prevents her from being happy..... maybe?

ETA: And because of Emma, Ella and her prince can reunite, as Emma is reversing the curse...

the curse doesn't wipe everyone's memories of everything....they just don't know they're storybook characters, and it ruins their happy endings.

so ruby's grandmother is her grandmother...but she doesn't know she's red riding hood.

i'm also kind of amazed how in details some of you get with the timeline of the story...it hurts my brain.

  • Keep in mind that they never got Rumple into the jail cell.

???? They showed him in the cell when snow white/charming went to see him about the curse as well as when evil queen went to see him about the curse not working.

Sorry, I should clarify. He wasn't thrown in the jail cell at the end of this episode. So there's no telling how long it is before that happens.

Was Snow pregnant in the flashback, though? She would have to be pregnant during the flashback in order for her to give birth before Ella does, right?

Very good point. I wonder how they will explain that. Snow is definitely pregnant after Ella. The jail cell that Snow visits Rumpel in (when she wants information on averting the spell cast on her during the wedding) is the one that was constructed previously to keep him from Ella's baby. Right? And Snow is pregnant at that time.

Right but the timeline could still fit.  Ella tricks Rumpel and he is caged in.  Ella at the time was maybe 6 months pregnant?  It must be 6-8 or so becasue after they got Rumpel she had some stomach pains and the prince said "its too early!"

So say a month goes by (I don't think they said how long so this is variable) and that is when Snow visits Rumpel in the cage.  At that time Snow was 9 months or close to 9 months, so based on the above timeline / guess about Ella, she would have still been 7-9 months pregnant herself.

So my guess is that Snow and Ella were pregnant very close together with Snow being a few weeks ahead.

I see what you mean, but why wasn't Snow visibly pregnant in the flashback? Maybe she was and I missed it.

Unless I'm forgeting something the only flashback Snow was in was the one at the wedding.  She didn't have to be visably pregnant then.  She is likely only a month or so further along in her pregnancy then Ella.  I'm assuming at the wedding Ella wasn't pregnant.  So quickest scenario: say Ella got pregnant right away after the wedding, Snow would have only been 8 weeks along or something at the wedding.  She wouldn't have been showing then.  And in the slowest scenario: wedding happens and 6 months (or whatever) go by and then Ella gets pregnant.  So then that puts Snow getting pregnant at say 5 months post wedding / flashback.

Ahhhh, got it. I'm dumb. I thought Snow was in the post wedding flashback, but it must have just been her husband. Thanks for clearing it up! :)

    This.

I find this all interesting to read, but as I'm watching, I'm just enjoying the storyline. I'm not comparing the timeline. Not to diss (do we still use that word?) those who do! I'm just amazed by how closely others pay attention.
