I'm getting very uncomfortable.  Round ligament pain is no joke and I'm ready to be done with work.  Everybody is surprised I made it this long but up until now it hasn't really been that bad and I tell them, when I'm done I will know.  Well now I know.  I'm going to work one more night on Saturday and hopefully get lots of sympathy tips :)  Then I don't know what I will do with myself for the next 5-6 weeks.  Gain more weight I suppose...

I think a lunch date with Kennedy and I would be appropriate!

you guys can come meet me for lunch! I work close to home now woohoo!

  • This weekend is my baby shower and I'm super excited.  Mom is hosting it and won't tell me anything other than the time, place, and overall theme.  Even the majority of the guest list is a surprise but I did find out some family is coming from quite a distance away.  Junior is bouncing and moving a lot now.  We're just starting to clear out the room for the nursery and with just 100 days until the due date we still have a lot to do!

I found work pants that would match my current uniform now im hunting for white button up shirt to replace my uniform, so far I'm out of luck. Any suggestions ladies? I have been to all the maternity stored in Brandon and the Destination Maternity at intl mall. Any online site?

I've had good luck finding maternity clothes at consignment shops.  My favorite is Stellie Bellies in Palm Harbor.

Baby's head is still firmly planted under my ribs.  I saw a chiro Thurs and she did the Webster technique on me and today is my follow up.  This was my first chiro adjustment and while I don't plan on becoming a regular, this Dr (Dr Patricia Snair...yay!!!)  came recommended and she is so amazing,.  If anyone needs the Webster technique, you must see her!  Baby hasn't flipped yet but it feels like she's trying to kick her way out so I know she's on her way down.

I must give you kudos because I don't know how you worked this long with your job.  I've been thinking about you quite a bit and can't wait to see pics when your LO arrives!

This past week Maisy got her first two teeth and began really clapping her hands (as opposed to just swinging her arms together). It is so cute how proud of herself she is of clapping.

I think Maisy is determined to skip crawling. She loves standing and has been cruising around both her pack n play and the coffee table for a couple weeks now, but has lost all interest in crawling. She was crawling a few steps here and there just to get to something if she really wanted it, but now when placed on her stomach or on her hands and knees, she immeditely rolls over into a sitting postion, and if anything or person is close enough, she is pulling up and on her feet. While I know some babies go right to walking, I'm really trying to encourage crawling because I know it is important developmentally. She has a pedi appt tomorrow, and I'm going to talk to her about it.

This is going to be my unsolicited opinion as a soon-to-be pediatric PT. It is SO important developmentally. It's the only time in life that we get dynamic stabilization through our shoulder joints and it helps with upper body and core strengthening. Is it the end of the world when kids skip? No, just helpful. :)

  • We were just in CT visiting the in laws and had a great trip! I learned to let go and my ILs were more respectful of our wishes with Zoe. :) We go to NC in 16 days to see my family. Craziness! Zoe did great on all the flights. She is such a little traveler. Everyone loved her big smiles and dancing.

This is her last week of swimming and I couldn't be more proud. She floats like a champ and stays calm when she swallows little sips of water. I can't wait to do her lessons again next year when she does a swim-float-swim sequence. Since she is so young she has only learned how to float. I highly recommend ISR lessons!!

Thanks for the thoughts.  I m/c yesterday morning and have an appointment with my RE tomorrow to make sure that it was a full miscarriage.  If it was, then we will talk about when I can start up with a frozen cycle, if not, we'll talk about what we need to do to "reset" my body.  It was a rough weekend, but I'm in a much better place, emotionally speaking, than I was on Thursday/Friday.

:( I'm glad you guys have a plan for what the next step is. I am praying for a take home baby for you!!!!

Thank you, Amy, for your advice. I appreciate it. I've been trying to read up on it, and there is the opinions of professionals on this subject vary a bit- from so, so important to not a big deal at all. I can certainly see the benefits of it and will  continue working with her and doing all I can try not let her skip this step. Also, I didn't know that is what you've been going to school for. How awesome.

  • Not a whole lot going on here.  I have the girls in a nice daycare.  They are sick....AGAIN.  Abigail has an ear infection.  Fabulous.  3weeks, two colds x 2 babies = tired momma.

Junie! I hope your U/s goes well!  Let us know ASAP!

Heather, I'm glad that you have a plan to go ahead.  I have my fingers crossed for you.

Kaley, that is a darling little man you have there.  Heartbreaker, for sure!
