OMG eeeeeee CONGRATS quadruple exclamation mark!!!!
I'm such an idiot, I read raynes' post about brunch before this and thought, "Celebratory? Uh, OK?"
Mimosas for 1 then?
Baby #2: Surprise BFP 9.19.12, EDD 5.24.13, natural m/c 10.19.13 at 9w
I did think that too, Ringy!
Thanks everyone. Honestly, I'm both excited but realistic. Failing something weird happening on the test, this is an unusual situation to say the least. I have a huge history of miscarriages and infertility in my family... so... I guess I'm preparing myself for a very good chance that this will not to be viable.
But, in reference to my earlier hesitations that I've voiced, I've realized today that I really am excited for this next stage in our lives. It's been fear that's been holding me back. And fear is totally dealable.

I so missed this post, but Eeek! Congratulations!
Hopefully the history of your family doesn't effect you. T&P's that this is your sticky baby.
Call DH first OR surprise him when he gets home (if you can contain yourself that long) and then call your OB to get your blood drawn (to test your beta levels).
No more drinking, smoking or eating shellfish (uncooked sushi, smoked lox, etc). There are a few other things that I can't remember. I find that funny. I was PG all of 2010 and I am blanking out on stuff I was told I couldn't do. Yeah, no more caffiene and you cannot take any meds that are NSAIDs.
Also, have your thyroid tested, too. If you don't have any issues now (or undiagnosed), some people develop them during pregnancy. It's nothing to panic about and easy to maintain.
I remember a ton of feeling and thoughts flooding my mind when I got my BFP. I was thrilled (we were trying) and yet I was in total shock for quite awhile. Just take it easy, take care of yourself and enjoy your newfound role in life.
